This role sits at the intersection of sales, technology, and customer execution.
The Application Engineer works closely with customers technical teams and internal sales to translate production challenges into effective automation solutions, while ensuring successful project delivery and scalable application replication across industries.
Key Responsibilities
Develop deep insight into industry applications, customer pain points, and competitor solutions to identify opportunity areas
Engage directly with customer engineering teams to understand requirements and propose value-added automation solutions
Support solution design, product selection, testing, commissioning, and troubleshooting at customer sites
Partner with sales teams during pre-sales and project execution to improve technical win-rate
Take ownership of project success within assigned industries or solution domains
Capture successful applications and replicate them as reference solutions across customers and regions
Share best practices, case studies, and application knowledge internally to strengthen team capability
Provide structured market and application feedback to product and R&D teams to support solution improvement
Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Automation, Mechatronics, or related fields
Solid understanding of PLCs, servo systems, inverters/VFDs, and industrial automation solutions
Experience in industrial automation companies, system integrators, or OEM machine builders preferred
Strong hands-on mindset with customer-facing experience
Self-driven, able to work independently in dynamic environments
Good command of English; regional or overseas travel required
