SEW-EURODRIVE, a global leader in drive automation and motion control technology, is seeking an entry-level Application Engineer to support customers, internal teams, and sales staff with technical expertise and application design. This position is ideal for recent graduates or early-career engineers who are eager to develop skills in industrial automation, drive systems, and mechatronicswhile also helping train others as they grow into the role.
Key Responsibilities:
Technical Support & Application Design
- Assist in selecting, sizing, and configuring gearmotors, VFDs, servo drives, and automation components.
- Analyse customer applications and support the creation of tailored drive and motion solutions.
- Prepare system layouts, basic wiring diagrams, and technical documentation.
- Provide first-level troubleshooting and technical guidance for drive systems.
Customer & Sales Support
- Work closely with sales teams to develop technical proposals and solution recommendations.
- Communicate with customers to clarify requirements and provide technical support.
- Contribute to product demonstrations and customer-facing technical presentations.
Commissioning & Field Support
- Support installation, commissioning, and optimization of SEW-EURODRIVE equipment under senior engineer supervision.
- Assist with parameterization, functional testing, and system startup activities.
- Document issues, troubleshooting steps, and solutions for internal reference.
Training & Development
- Participate in structured product and technology training programs to build deep expertise in SEW-EURODRIVE systems.
- Conduct internal trainingsessions sales teams on product features, application basics, and configuration tools.
- Assist in developing or updating internal training materials, guides, and technical resources.
- Stay updated on emerging automation and motion control technologies.
Qualifications
Education
- Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering, Mechatronics, Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Automation, or a related discipline.
Technical Skills
- 03 years of experience in drive technology, automation, mechatronics, machine design, or related engineering fields.
- Foundational understanding of electric motors, VFDs, servo systems, or industrial automation.
- Ability to interpret mechanical drawings and electrical schematics.
- Exposure to PLCs, industrial communication protocols (e.g., PROFINET, EtherCAT, Ethernet/IP) is a plus.
