Our client is a global technology company specializing in advanced test, measurement, and engineering solutions for the semiconductor industry. They partner with leading chip manufacturers and technology companies worldwide to support innovation across research, new product introduction (NPI), and high-volume manufacturing.
They are seeking an experienced Solutions Engineer to support customers deploying Silicon Photonics (SiPh) test solutions. This customer-facing role combines technical consulting, solution implementation, and ongoing engineering support throughout the customer lifecycle.
Key Responsibilitie
sCustomer Technical Suppor
- tServe as the primary technical contact for assigned customer accounts following solution deployment
- .Support system installation, commissioning, optimization, and long-term operation of silicon photonics testing solutions
- .Diagnose and resolve technical issues by working closely with customers and internal engineering teams
- .Build strong relationships with customer engineering and manufacturing teams to ensure successful adoption and continuous system performance
- .Provide technical guidance as customers introduce new products, modify production processes, or expand testing capabilities
.Technical Solution Suppor
- tWork alongside the commercial team to understand customer requirements and recommend suitable testing solutions
- .Advise customers on system configurations, measurement methodologies, and application-specific testing approaches
- .Conduct technical presentations, product demonstrations, and solution evaluations
- .Support technical discussions throughout the sales cycle and help ensure successful solution implementation
Requirements
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Photonics, Physics, Semiconductor Engineering, or a related discipline.
- At least 4–5 years of experience in Applications Engineering, Solutions Engineering, Field Applications Engineering, Test Engineering, or a similar technical customer-facing role.
- Hands-on experience with Silicon Photonics (SiPh), optical testing, or related semiconductor test technologies.
- Good understanding of optical and electrical measurement principles, automated test systems, and system integration.
- Comfortable supporting customers in research, NPI, and production environments.
- Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and communication skills with the ability to work independently in customer-facing situations.
- Fluency in English and Mandarin is required to effectively support Mandarin-speaking customers and stakeholders.
Preferred Experience
- Exposure to Wafer Acceptance Test (WAT), parametric testing, or semiconductor wafer-level test processes.
- Experience supporting semiconductor manufacturers, foundries, IDMs, OSATs, or photonics companies.
- Familiarity with semiconductor manufacturing processes and production test environments.
