Position: Application Manager
Location: Bangplee, Samutprakarn, Thailand
Department: R & D Applications
Key Responsibilities:
- Experience in 3 or more applications segments including beverage, confectionery, dairy, bakery, snacks, meat, spices, and seasoning.
- Strong understanding of food ingredients and raw materials interactions. Experience in food colors preferred.
- Proven skills to be self-driven and advance technical projects by leveraging internal and external subject matter experts.
- Customer-centric mentality. Must be able to travel to customers R&D, deliver training presentations, and update customers on active projects. Travel approximately 20%
- Ability to travel Internationally periodically
- The ability to work in the laboratory, pilot plant, and manufacturing scale environments.
- Experience in project management. Statistical analysis, cost/benefit analysis, program/system planning, and SAP experience is a plus.
- In-depth understanding and practical experience with production/manufacturing are preferred.
- Understanding of markets and products
- Understanding of end customer usage and process
- Ability to engage external stakeholders as a means to align with customer requirement
- Ability to align function to customer requirements
- Ability to apply common sense to solve problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists.
- Ability to work on cross-functional projects alone and as part of a team is critical.
- The ability to perform at a high level in a continuously changing work pace is essential.
- Work requires excellent English and Thai written, verbal, and group presentation communication skills.
- Work may require the use of tools or equipment that requires a high degree of dexterity.
- Work may require the use of close, distance, color and peripheral vision. It may also require depth perception as well as the ability to adjust focus.
Position Criteria:
- Bachelors or Masters degree in Food Science/Food Technology or related area
- 10 years of experience with 3 or more application segments including beverage, confectionery, dairy, bakery, snacks, meat, spices, and seasoning.
- Strong communication, collaboration, and influencing skills.
- Fluency in English Language is a must
- Strong complex problem resolution, dealing with ambiguity, and making sound decision skills
- Creative thinker, able to proactively inspire change with the team. Ability to act with agility, adapt, grow, and elevate the team&aposs capabilities and inspire a food-loving culture
