Role Overview
As an Area Sales Manager, you will be responsible for achieving organizational sales objectives and expanding market share within your assigned territory. You will manage distributor relationships, implement strategic sales programs, and ensure your team delivers exceptional customer service while maximizing profitability.

Key Responsibilities
Sales Leadership
- Develop and execute comprehensive sales strategies to achieve monthly and annual sales targets
- Manage and optimize sales budgets to maximize market share and profit margins
- Ensure all sales operations adhere to established commercial policies
- Plan, execute, and monitor field activities to drive sales performance
- Create and implement customized action plans for key distributors to increase sell-in sales and foster loyalty
- Develop targeted strategies to stimulate end-user purchases through distributor channels
- Collaborate with Marketing to coordinate product advertising campaigns, optimizing volume, pricing, and payment terms
Operational Excellence
- Manage inventory levels, reprogramming, and stockout situations to ensure consistent market presence
- Lead the sales forecasting process by consolidating regional information
- Serve as the vital connection between distribution channels and the management team
- Communicate company policies, product releases, and campaign information to distributors
- Address distributor concerns and claims, coordinating solutions with relevant departments
Financial Management
- Strategically manage product pricing to maximize profit margins while maintaining market competitiveness
- Analyze sales performance data to identify opportunities for revenue growth
Team Leadership
- Build, manage, and develop a high-performing team of Sales Representatives and Promoters
- Provide coaching, mentoring, and performance management to drive team success
Qualifications
Education
- Bachelor's degree in Agricultural Engineering and other related courses
Experience
- minimum of 10 years experience in the agrochemical/crop protection industry
- Proven experience with agrochemicals or similar products preferred
Technical Skills
- Advanced sales management expertise
- Strong understanding of financial concepts and business metrics
- Comprehensive knowledge of biological problems, agricultural products, and crop management in relevant regions
