About the Job

We are seeking a results-driven Area Sales Manager to support the growth of our construction-related business in the coatings and adhesives segments. The role focuses on identifying new business opportunities, driving market entry, and managing both commodity and specialty product portfolios.

This position leads customer engagements, supports pricing and commercial decisions, and works closely with internal teams to ensure successful project execution and customer onboarding. The ideal candidate has strong technical knowledge, excellent communication skills, and a proactive, customer-focused mindset to drive sustainable business growth.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and drive business growth across the coatings, construction, and adhesives segments.
  • Establish, expand, and manage the business by leveraging existing customer relationships and market opportunities.
  • Manage and grow both commodity and specialty product portfolios in alignment with business and profitability objectives.
  • Work closely with internal teams, including technical, supply chain, and sales support, to ensure successful project execution.
  • Lead customer engagements such as technical discussions, product positioning, and solution-based selling.
  • Support pricing strategies, contract negotiations, and key commercial decision-making.
  • Monitor market trends, competitor activities, and evolving customer needs to support business strategy and planning.
  • Ensure smooth onboarding of new customers and effective follow-through on business development initiatives.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Science, Business Administration, or a related discipline
  • Minimum 3-5 years of experience in chemical sales, preferably in coatings, paints, inks, surface coatings, adhesives, or industrial chemicals
  • Solid technical understanding of coating and adhesive products, raw materials, and application systems ; technical sales experience is a strong advantage.
  • Strong communication, negotiation, and presentation skills, with the ability to effectively engage customers and stakeholders
  • Highly self-motivated, results-oriented, and customer-focused, with the ability to work independently and collaborate within a team
  • Proven problem-solving skills and the ability to provide value-added solutions to customers
  • Valid driving license and is willing to travel to customer sites within Bangkok and surrounding areas
  • Proficient in both Thai and English, written and spoken
