Position: ASEAN Business Development Lead

Primary location: Bangkok, Thailand

Optional location: Marina Bay, Singapore

Responsibilities:

  • Develop a deep understanding of the PCB industry, including value chains, technologies, market trends, competitive landscape, and key business opportunities and challenges.
  • Build strategic partnerships and expand the customer base through targeted business development and marketing initiatives.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and execute business growth strategies.
  • Identify emerging business opportunities and potential risks and work closely with relevant stakeholders to develop and drive appropriate action plans.
  • Serve as a subject matter expert in a technical or specialized area, delivering complex assignments with minimal supervision.
  • Apply in-depth expertise within the discipline and leverage knowledge across related functions to support business objectives.
  • Maintain a strong understanding of industry best practices, market dynamics, competitive differentiators, and customer needs.
  • Utilize extensive market, functional, and process knowledge gained through practical industry experience to drive business success.
  • Interpret and apply organizational policies and procedures, while recommending enhancements to improve operational effectiveness.
  • Provide guidance, coaching, and prioritization support to team members and individual contributors as required.
  • Drive positive impact across customer, operational, project, and service-related activities within the team and across collaborating functions.
  • Work independently with a high level of accountability while mentoring and supporting less experienced colleagues.
  • Exercise sound judgment and decision-making in managing assignments and evaluating business situations.
  • Analyze complex issues, develop innovative solutions, and make informed decisions based on multiple sources of information.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or higher in Engineering, Science, or a related technical discipline.
  • Proven experience in marketing, sales, business development, and/or product development roles.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in the metallization, plating, PCB, electronics, or related industries.
  • Experience in technology-focused roles, such as R&D or Applications Engineering, is an advantage.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and strategic thinking skills, with the ability to translate technical concepts into business opportunities.
  • Self-motivated team player with a collaborative mindset and strong interpersonal skills.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to effectively communicate both technical and business information.
  • Demonstrated ability to thrive in a fast-paced, customer-focused environment.
  • Resilient, adaptable, open-minded, and committed to continuous learning and development.
  • Willingness and ability to travel extensively across Asia (approximately 50%) to support customers and OEM partners.
  • High level of integrity, professionalism, and ethical standards, with strong passion and energy to drive business growth.
  • Fluent in both English and Chinese (Mandarin).
