JOB PURPOSE:
The Magnum ERP Cutover Manager will be responsible for:
- Planning, coordinating, and executing the cutover activities during the upcoming ERP implementation as Unilever Ice Cream transitions to the new Magnum Ice Cream Company.
- The role will ensure a seamless transition from 4 legacy SAP systems to a single ERP platform.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
1) Cutover Strategy Development:
- Define and develop the cutover strategy aligned with project objectives and timelines working with the ERP Deployment Lead, ERP Hypercare Lead and the deployment leads in the business groups around the world
- Develop a cutover plan that integrates technical, business, and functional requirements into the cutover plan.
2) Cutover Planning & Execution:
- Prepare detailed cutover plans, including schedules, dependencies, and resource allocation.
- Coordinate data migrations, system transitions, and process changes across the project teams and the operating business.
- Lead rehearsals (mock cutovers) to identify potential risks before go-live.
3) Risk Management:
- Identify risks related to cutover activities and implement mitigation strategies and use the project methodology to record and resolve risks.
- Ensure quick resolution and /or escalation of issues during go-live phases.
4) Post-Cutover Support:
- Provide immediate support post-cutover to address system performance or operational issues, working closely with the ERP Hypercare Lead
- Conduct reviews to capture lessons learned for future roll-out waves
5) Documentation & Reporting:
- Maintain comprehensive records of cutover activities and decisions using the standard project methodology.
- Prepare regular updates for stakeholders on progress, risks, and outcomes within the project meeting cadence.
WHAT YOU NEED TO SUCCEED:
SKILLS:
This role involves detailed strategy development, meticulous planning and execution aligned with effective communication across teams and stakeholders.
EXPERIENCES & QUALIFICATIONS:
- Proven experience in SAP ERP implementations
- Strong project management skills (certifications like PMP or PRINCE2 preferred)
- Exceptional communication and problem-solving abilities
- Full working knowledge of ERP systems and data migration processes
LEADERSHIP:
- This role will work across multiple countries, working with diverse teams and will need to operate in a high-pressure environment
- Team leadership will be a key skillset as we work to align a business that is in full operating mode to a complex change plan
