We are seeking a commercially minded and solutions-oriented legal professional to support EssilorLuxottica's manufacturing operations in Thailand. The Asia Operations Legal Counsel will serve as the primary legal contact for five manufacturing entities in Thailand and will provide practical, business-focused legal support across corporate governance, commercial contracting, regulatory compliance, and operational matters. The role requires close collaboration with business leaders, operations teams, supply chain, HR, finance, and external counsel to ensure effective risk management, legal compliance, and business continuity.
Your day at EssilorLuxottica
- Act as the primary legal point of contact for all Thailand manufacturing operations.
- Ensure compliance with Thai corporate laws and regulatory requirements across all entities
- Manage board and shareholder meetings, including preparation of notices, agendas, board resolutions, minutes, statutory registers, and required corporate filings
- Coordinate corporate secretarial matters, appointments and resignations of directors, power of attorney documentation, and maintenance of corporate records
- Draft, review, negotiate, and manage a broad range of commercial agreements, including vendor and supplier agreements, manufacturing agreements, service and consultancy agreements, logistics and warehousing agreements, procurement and sourcing contracts, intra-group and intercompany agreements, non-disclosure agreements and other commercial arrangements
- Provide practical legal advice to support business objectives while mitigating legal and commercial risks, timely and pragmatic legal advice on matters affecting manufacturing facilities and day-to-day operations
- Support operations, supply chain, procurement, quality, and HR teams on legal and compliance requirements
- Identify, assess, and mitigate legal risks arising from operational activities
- Monitor and advise on applicable regulations affecting manufacturing operations
- Assist with implementation of corporate compliance policies, including anti-bribery and anti-corruption, data privacy, conflicts of interest, and ethics programs
- Support business transformation projects, manufacturing initiatives, supply chain arrangements, and other strategic transactions
- Provide legal input on operational expansion, restructuring, and risk assessment activities, assist audit and HR teams and other with investigations
- Legal systems and reports, archival of corporate documents and contracts into Group databases and systems (electronic and physical)
- Litigation – assistance regarding litigation prevention and any routine litigation containing the above indicated companies and their subsidiaries/affiliates, coordinating the required defenses, witnesses, evidence, hearings etc. with local law firms, managing litigation costs and exposures
Qualifications
- Bachelor of Laws (LL.B.) from a recognized university in Thailand
- Experience10 years of relevant legal experience supporting multinational corporations, preferably within manufacturing, industrial, or operational environments
- Strong background in Thai corporate governance and commercial contract management
- Hands-on experience with BOI-related matters and medical device regulations
