Position: Asia Quality Validations Engineer

Location: AEL-EOLT Amata, Chonburi

Role Mission

This role is responsible for leading project validation activities across the Asia Zone for Mass Production and Rx industrial laboratories. The focus is on New Product Introduction (NPI) and industrial projects, including process and raw material validation.

The role contributes directly to the Group's sustainability mission—improving lives by improving sight—by ensuring all validation, quality, and project activities comply with regulatory, safety, and sustainability standards.

Key Responsibilities 1. Project Validation & Quality Assurance

  • Manage and support the innovation and validation cycle for new products and technologies, including lenses, materials, coatings, complex systems, digital solutions, and services.
  • Lead product and process validation against requirements such as safety, regulatory compliance, performance claims, and consumer satisfaction.
  • Apply Quality tools and methodologies, including risk assessment, concept analysis, and process validation.
  • Prepare and maintain all required project documentation (e.g. Risk Analyses, Test Plans, Development Reviews).
  • Act as a key interface with production, engineering, plant quality, corporate quality, Innovation Quality, R&D, Manufacturing Engineering, and market teams.
  • Support project teams with root cause analysis, and follow up on corrective and preventive action plans.

2. Tools, Data & Communication

  • Use appropriate data analysis tools to manage and interpret technical and commercial data from multiple sources.
  • Ensure validation processes follow the correct tools, methods, and governance steps.
  • Serve as a zone-level reference for validation processes and risk analysis, providing guidance and support to plants as needed.
  • Deliver training on validation methodologies and risk management topics when required.
  • Maintain and continuously update the project validation database.
  • Ensure clear, timely, and effective communication with internal stakeholders, including plants, WW Manufacturing Quality, Innovation Quality, and global engineering teams.

3. Continuous Improvement

  • Promote a continuous improvement mindset.
  • Proactively identify opportunities to improve validation, quality, and industrial processes.
  • Work closely with engineering and manufacturing teams to implement improvements.

Requirements Mandatory Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Chemistry, or a related technical field.
  • Fluent in English (spoken and written).
  • Willingness to travel occasionally.
  • 5–8 years of experience in Quality, Process Engineering, or Manufacturing environments.
  • Strong technical knowledge of:
    • Quality systems
    • Process control
    • Statistical analysis
  • Proficiency in MS Office tools (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and Minitab.
