Role: Assistant Accounting Manager, Thailand, Suvarnabhumi Airport (BKK) - New Headcount
Role Summary:
Controlling and verifying the payroll and general ledger, including the preparation and analysis of monthly performance reports; reviewing records and costings of each outlet; ensuring accurate fixed asset management in compliance with Thai tax laws; overseeing insurance matters; and managing the processing of permits and licenses in accordance with Thai regulations.
Responsibilities
Operational Control:
- Control and check on inventory and OPEX of all stores, accuracy of invoices, tax invoices and billing notes.
- Manage petty cash for stores and additional petty cash control if needed.
- Manage deposit and refund payment and receive with proper tracking.
- Control on prepayment items for existing and all new stores.
- Check on operation incentive calculation and reconcile with HR department.
- Support on working capital analysis, including AR, AP, costing, and payments
Tax & Compliance:
- Manage the accuracy of monthly purchase and sales tax submissions to the Revenue Department.
- Support on internal and external audit processes.
Month-end Closing and Reporting & Analysis:
- Oversee the general ledger, sub-ledger, payroll verification, and month-end closing processes including all accrual posting.
- Prepare monthly performance reports, profit and loss statements, balance sheets, and for unit reports for both SSP Thailand and for JV supporting books.
- Analysis of all stores expenses.
- Control and check inventory across all stores including asset transfer and write-off at head office and stores.
- Control fixed asset management and depreciation in compliance with Thai accounting standards.
- Overview of payment voucher with capex budget and verify before payment process.
Team Leadership and Teamwork:
- Responsible for developing the accounting team through coaching and performance evaluations.
- Assist team to support daily operational issues (for costing and expenses).
- Support team, management level and additional project (support new stores expansion and new system related to accounting matters).
Qualification
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or a related field
- 510 years of accounting experience; audit/tax background preferred
- CPA certification preferred but not required
- Proficiency in accounting software and ERP systems
- Experience in the restaurant industry is a plus
- Strong analytical, problemsolving, and attentiontodetail skills
- Fluent in English and Thai; proactive, adaptable, and able to perform under pressure
- Demonstrated leadership and team management abilities
