About the Role
Our client is a well-established engineering and building services company involved in ACMV and HVAC solutions for commercial and built-environment projects.
They are looking for an experienced Assistant ACMV Project Manager (Built Environment) to oversee projects from planning and mobilisation through installation, testing, commissioning, and handover
This role is suited to an experienced ACMV professional who is comfortable managing main contractors,
consultants, subcontractors, suppliers, site teams, project schedules, commercial matters, and project documentation.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage ACMV projects from project mobilisation and planning through installation, testing, commissioning, and final handover.
- Establish project teams, site requirements, documentation systems, and project execution plans.
- Review ACMV system designs, specifications, drawings, and equipment selections to ensure compliance and optimal performance.
- Coordinate with main contractors, consultants, clients, subcontractors, suppliers, and internal departments throughout project execution.
- Plan and monitor manpower, materials, equipment deliveries, subcontractor activities, and overall project schedules.
- Review and coordinate shop drawings, equipment schedules, material submissions, samples, and technical documentation for consultant approval.
- Manage ACMV subcontractors, including scope definition, work allocation, performance monitoring, progress, and commercial claims.
- Attend technical, coordination, and site meetings and resolve project-related technical and execution issues.
- Monitor project costs, progress claims, subcontractor payments, budgets, and financial performance.
- Oversee final testing, commissioning, defects rectification, as-built documentation, O&M manuals, and project handover.
- Ensure site activities comply with applicable safety, quality, and regulatory requirements.
- Establish maintenance and service arrangements during the defects liability period and support project close-out reporting
Requirements
- Diploma or Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Building Services, or a related discipline.
- Minimum 8 years of relevant ACMV / HVAC project management experience.
- Strong track record managing ACMV projects within the built environment, such as commercial buildings, developments, facilities, or major building projects.
- Strong understanding of ACMV systems, including air-conditioning, chilled water, ventilation, and associated building services.
- Proven experience managing main contractors, consultants, subcontractors, suppliers, and site teams.
- Strong knowledge of project planning, site execution, testing & commissioning, cost control, and project handover.
- Good understanding of construction practices, project documentation, and relevant safety requirements.
- Strong communication, coordination, leadership, and problem-solving skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and AutoCAD
