Job Description

This is a full time position and a wonderful opportunity for those seeking an entry into the commercial real estate industry. The Assistant Building Manager will play an active role in the day to day operations of the business.

Your main focus will be the management of all lease administration, property expenditure, general administration and supporting a high performing team of Property Managers.

As an Assistant Building Manager for JLL, you will be expected to have a relatively well rounded understanding of commercial property principles and automated in lease administration and invoice processing.

Duties include but not limited to assisting with:

  • Responsible for the management of general commercial property administration, such as lease administration, invoice processing, arrears management, critical date management and filing.
  • Support in the management and administration of contracts/contractors.
  • Assist with tenant liaison and requests.
  • Assist with risk and compliance management.
  • Support the site team with new site initiatives such as, but not limited to, sustainability initiatives, events, tenant engagement and other site initiatives.
  • Assist with the management of the JLL and client risk and compliance systems.
  • Assist with preparation of budgets, outgoings recoveries, forecasts and quarterly reports.
  • Ad hoc tasks as required

Required Qualifications, Skills & Experience

  • 3-5 years experience in commercial property management is preferred.
  • Strong Customer Service Skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Excellent customer service & time management skills
  • Genuine passion to work in the property industry
  • The role requires an individual who is proactive, conscientious in their work ethic, diligent and organised in their approach to day to day tasks.
  • A demonstrated ability to think laterally, accommodate change and new ideas, and most importantly, to prioritise work.
  • Strong communication, organisational and interpersonal skills
  • High attention to detail
  • Computer literacy
  • Ability to interpret (or make suitable enquiry re) the standard building lease and specific tenant lease obligations in order to discuss lease queries with tenants during tenancy liaison meetings.
