Job Description

Assistant Commercial Manager

Responsibilities

Collection Management

• Oversee and manage daily collection activities to ensure timely follow-up and resolution of outstanding and aged receivables.

• Proactively engage with debtors via phone, email, and formal correspondence to secure payment of overdue invoices.

• Monitor aging reports and collection KPIs to identify overdue accounts, prioritize actions, and mitigate risk on high-exposure accounts.

• Review escalated cases and complex payment issues; provide clear direction to internal teams and negotiate suitable repayment plans with customers.

• Lead and support dispute resolution in collaboration with Billing, Finance, Operations, and Sales, including recommendations on account suspension or legal action where appropriate.

• Ensure accuracy, compliance, and proper documentation across all collection processes, including cash receipts and account reconciliation.

Team Leadership

• Lead, develop, and drive team performance to enhance productivity and service quality, including adoption of process improvements and automation tools.

• Provide coaching and ongoing guidance to team members, emphasizing customer-centric mindset and effective negotiation techniques.

• Set clear performance targets and support the team in achieving KPIs and overall business objectives.

Stakeholder Management

• Build strong working relationships with internal stakeholders, including Finance, Sales, and Operations, to ensure alignment and effective issue resolution.

• Communicate professionally with external clients and partners regarding overdue accounts, payment arrangements, and dispute handling.

• Escalate critical issues to senior management with clear analysis, risk assessment, and actionable recommendations.

Qualifications & Requirements

• Minimum 8 years of experience in a Commercial or Credit/Collection function, preferably within construction, engineering, project management, or related industries.

• Strong business acumen with sound judgment and decision-making capabilities.

• Excellent communication, influencing, and collaboration skills; fluent in Thai and proficient inwritten and spoken English.

• Experience with ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle) or collection tools

• Data analysis and reporting skills

• Demonstrates a sense of urgency, adaptability, and continuous learning mindset, with the ability to prioritize effectively.

• Strong team player with proven leadership capability, including delegation, performance monitoring, and coaching to achieve team objectives.
