Job Overview:
This position contributes the succession by achieving company development goals through maximum utilization of resource ensuring company retails stores are built in a timely, cost-effective manner while maintaining the Starbucks experiences and building brand equity.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage project schedules and ensure the successful delivery of new or renovation projects within the targeted timeline, maintaining high construction quality and fostering a positive and happy work environment.
- Coordinate with the construction service team, designers, internal departments, and regional teams to ensure all designs and layouts comply with brand standards.
- Coordinate with the Project Manager, Design Services Team, site owners, and contractors to obtain all necessary approvals required for project completion.
- Maintain consistent communication and report with the Construction Manager, stakeholders, and team members throughout the construction process.
- Demonstrate strong accountability for assigned tasks and the ability to perform effectively under pressure.
- Be open to learning new things and embracing new challenges.
- Perform other duties as assigned by the supervisor.
Qualifications/ Required Skills:
- Bachelor's degree in Architecture, Interior Design, Construction Management, or a related field (preferred).
- Minimum of 3 years experience in construction management, especially in food retail or restaurant projects.
- Proficient in AutoCAD, SketchUp, Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Project.
- Strong knowledge in sourcing and comparing local materials and equipment, with effective resource management skills.
- Solid experience and understanding of MEP systems (Electrical, Sanitary, HVAC, and Ventilation).
- Ability to estimate project budgets and manage costs throughout the construction period.
- Skilled in preparing BOQs, calculating price adjustments and cost escalations, and ensuring accuracy aligned with project objectives.
- Capable of explaining and negotiating brand requirements with landlords to achieve desired outcomes.
- Able to mediate and resolve issues arising during the projectwhether with contractors, landlords, or other factors affecting progress, such as property damage or insurance claims.
- Strong communication skills in English, both spoken and written.
- Flexible and independent: owning a personal vehicle and able to travel, with adaptability in scheduling and reaching various destinations.
