Job Description

Job Responsibilities:

  • Lead a diverse team of project managers and project engineers in developing and executing ride/show venue renovations and asset replacements.
  • Actively track long range project schedules and financials.
  • Minimize impact to operations while delivering quality projects.
  • Ensure all Show and Ride equipment maintain the highest level of safety in accordance with Universal Specifications, ASTM, EN13814 and BCA Amusement Ride Standards, accepted manufacturing practices and other local standards.
  • Oversee concept feasibility, scope of work development and review, vendor assessment and selection, vendor oversight, risk identification and mitigation, field installation strategy, oversight of field test and adjust, and SAT of Ride/Show renovations.
  • Ensure Universal Creative Core Safety & Engineering (UC S&E) is regularly briefed on project progress and issues, and effectively communicate and implement UC S&E directives within the project team.
  • Review and approve contracts and legal documents related to Show and Ride systems as required for project work.
  • Maintain a strong commitment to Tech Services Safety and Compliance and UDX EHS policies, procedures, training requirements, and team engagement initiatives.
  • Oversee coordination with other Business Units during ride and show projects.

Job Requirements:

  • Degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Electronic, Mechatronic, Computer Engineering (or related field).
  • Minimum 10 years of experience in Mechanical / Manufacturing / Oil & Gas / Theme Park industries with at least 3 years in a managerial capacity.
  • Experience with installation and commissioning of complex Mechanical and Controls Systems.
  • Proficient in project management of complex Mechanical and Controls Systems.
  • Ability to organize and manage a complex series of tasks and vendor(s) to develop and implement Ride/Show Systems renovations and asset replacements.
  • Strong in schedule analysis and contract management.
  • Able to work at height and willing to take the rides, from time to time.
  • Strong leadership and interpersonal skills, with the ability to communicate clearly, concisely and persuasively with a wide range of diverse personnel.
  • Able to handle multiple priorities simultaneously and meet dynamic demands.
  • Resilient, adaptable and able to work through issues and provide solutions in a challenging and fast paced environment.
