Job Description

Our client is a global manufacturer of construction chemicals. They are looking for a Assistant Finance Manager to join their setup in Bangkok.

Key responsibilities:

  • Provide strategic financial leadership by developing and implementing financial strategies, policies, and best practices aligned with the company's objectives and Group direction.
  • Lead financial reporting activities, ensuring timely and accurate month-end and year-end closing, and deliver management reports to stakeholders across Asia and Germany.
  • Drive the annual budgeting and forecasting processes, monitor business performance, and provide financial analysis and commercial insights to support decision-making by the Managing Director and department heads.
  • Manage treasury, working capital, cash flow, and cost control, including maintaining accurate standard costing for raw materials and finished goods to optimize financial performance.
  • Ensure full compliance with statutory, tax, and regulatory requirements, including VAT, withholding tax, corporate income tax, and adherence to Group policies and accounting standards.
  • Lead and coordinate internal and external audits, while establishing and maintaining robust internal controls and governance frameworks to mitigate financial and operational risks.
  • Support regional and corporate requirements through ad hoc financial projects, reporting packages, intercompany reconciliations, and transfer pricing activities.
  • Drive continuous improvement of financial operations and IT systems, enhancing processes, automation, data integrity, and overall operational efficiency.
  • Oversee the accuracy and integrity of financial records, including journal entries, reconciliations, and general ledger management, ensuring the highest standards of financial governance and reporting.

Requirements:

  • Financial or Accountancy degree or equivalent
  • Minimum 5 years of relevant experience is desirable
  • ERP knowledge is an advantage
  • Proficient in english, to communicate with regional stakeholders
