Assistant Head to join our fantastic team.
This is a non-teaching role but you will be required to do some cover across KS1 and EY. It is therefore important that your Teaching and Learning is of a very high standard. It is Ideal for someone who has been coordinating phases or year groups and is ready for the next step.
The role would start at point 12 on our pay scale with a stipend of 30,000b per month.

About The Role
Key Responsibilities:
Strategic Leadership:
- Collaborate with the Deputy Headteacher and Head of School to develop and implement strategic plans for Key Stage 1 and Early Years.
- Lead initiatives that align with the school&aposs vision and values, promoting continuous improvement and innovation.
- Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of teaching and learning strategies, ensuring high standards are maintained.
Curriculum and Instruction:
- Oversee the design and delivery of a broad, balanced, and engaging curriculum tailored to the developmental needs of early learners.
- Support teachers in implementing best practices, incorporating play-based and inquiry-led approaches.
- Utilize assessment data to inform instructional decisions and personalize learning experiences.
Staff Development:
- Mentor and support teaching staff, fostering a culture of reflective practice and continuous professional growth.
- Organize and lead professional development sessions focused on early childhood education and innovative pedagogies.
- Conduct performance appraisals, providing constructive feedback and setting clear objectives.
Student Welfare and Inclusion:
- Champion the well-being of all students, ensuring a safe, inclusive, and supportive learning environment.
- Work closely with the SENCO to identify and address the needs of students requiring additional support.
- Promote positive behavior management strategies that reflect the school&aposs values.
Parental Engagement:
- Build strong partnerships with parents and caregivers, facilitating open communication and collaboration.
- Organize workshops and events that involve families in the educational process.
- Address parental concerns with empathy and professionalism, ensuring satisfaction and trust.
Operational Management:
- Assist in the daily management of school operations, including scheduling, resource allocation, and facility oversight.
- Ensure compliance with safeguarding policies and procedures, supporting the Designated Safeguarding Lead if required.
- Participate in the recruitment and induction of new staff members.
Who we are looking for:
Qualifications and Experience:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
- Proven leadership experience within Key Stage 1 and/or Early Years settings.
- n-depth knowledge of the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) framework and Key Stage 1 curriculum.
- Demonstrated ability to lead and inspire a team, driving educational excellence.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with a commitment to collaborative leadership.
