Role Description The Assistant Housekeeping Manager is a full-time, on-site role based at the Club Med resort in Phuket. This position supports the Housekeeping Manager in overseeing daily housekeeping operations, including supervision of room attendants and public area staff, scheduling, and ensuring adherence to cleanliness and safety standards. The role involves inspecting guest rooms and resort facilities, coordinating linen and supplies, and responding promptly to guest requests or issues related to housekeeping. The Assistant Housekeeping Manager collaborates with other departments to maintain high-quality guest experiences and assists with training, performance feedback, and continuous improvement of housekeeping procedures. The position may also involve administrative tasks such as inventory monitoring, reporting, and compliance with Club Med policies and local regulations.
Qualifications
- Experience in housekeeping or hotel operations, with prior supervisory or team-lead responsibilities in a resort or hospitality environment.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills, including the ability to coordinate schedules, prioritize tasks, and manage multiple responsibilities in a fast-paced setting.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills for collaborating with diverse teams and providing clear guidance to staff members.
- Knowledge of cleaning standards, safety and hygiene procedures, and operational best practices in housekeeping.
- Proficiency in basic administrative tasks, such as inventory tracking, reporting, and use of standard office or property management software.
- Customer-service mindset with a focus on maintaining high guest satisfaction and responding professionally to feedback or complaints.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays, as required by resort operations.
- Relevant education or training in hospitality management or a related field is an advantage; prior experience in an international or multicultural environment is highly beneficial.
