To develop the human resources within the company by effective implementation of training development programs and to advise the management on development plans in line with the needs.

Responsibilities

Responsibilities and duties for this position shall include, but not be limited to, the following areas and activities. At management discretion, direction may be given for tasks outside the scope of work described.

The Duties Are

  • To conduct Training Need Analysis (TNA) in order to be able to design a suitable trainingplan / programs as a means to develop the quality of human resources in the company.
  • To prepare annual hotel training plan / programs & budget, under the direction of the HRD.
  • To act as training instructor or training coordinator / facilitator for all training activities within the company.
  • To compile and develop training materials.
  • To provide assistance to all department/ section heads in the preparation of training programs.
  • To provide assistance to all training coordinators and departmental trainers in their role and function to optimize the execution of the training programs.
  • To monitor the execution of training programs conducted by departmental trainers and/or training coordinator.
  • To provide coaching and counseling to the trainers and trainees.
  • To establish and manage all administration (training materials, plan, reports, etc.) pertinent to training activities.
  • To organize and execute orientation program for new employees.
  • To organize the process of exchange of know-how between departments / hotels, particularly through inter departments / hotels cross exposure training programs.
  • To manage and organize training programs for school trainees including selection and placement of the trainees.
  • To evaluate the training programs conducted in order to be able to gain feedback on things to be improved and re-design the training programs for the following year (if considered necessary).
  • To supervise, coach, counsel and guide sub-ordinates. Assess work performance on regular schedule, provide appropriate feedback and plan for development as necessary.

The Responsibilities Are

  • Understand the global functioning of the hotel and translate the hotel objectives into training needs analysis.

  • Plan, prepare, execute, monitor and evaluate the training and development programs according to the needs.
  • Fully in charge of organization and maintenance of the training rooms, facilities and equipment used for training activities.
  • Maintain good relationship with training & development institutions, relevant educational institutions, training associations and the relevant authorities.
  • Provide input and assistance to the Director of HR regarding all aspects dealing with human resources development in the company.
  • To conduct other tasks outside the job scope as assigned by the Director of HR.

Qualifications

  • University graduate (preferably in psychology / personnel management / education) who is a Training practitioner with minimum 3 years experience at least in supervisory level within an international working environment (preferably hotel industry).
  • Showing great concern towards the quality improvement of human resources within the company.
  • Ability to submit concrete recommendations (well-prepared plans of action).
  • Having good inter-personal skill with people at all levels within the company.
  • Good analytical and conceptual skill.
  • Understand and familiar with teaching method & techniques.
  • Broad minded, possess strong leadership skill and proven middle management managerial skills.
  • Good communication skill; ability to pass information to others in verbal and written clearly and concisely.
  • Computer literate.
  • English proficiency at least at pre-advance level.
