Job Purpose
To support management in evaluating business performance, financial results, and new business opportunities through financial and commercial analysis. The role is responsible for conducting feasibility studies, analyzing P&L and business performance, and providing actionable insights to support strategic and commercial decision-making.
The position will work closely with Finance, Commercial, Business Units, and other cross-functional teams to assess business opportunities, identify performance gaps, and develop recommendations to improve profitability and business performance.
Key Responsibilities
1. Business & Financial Performance Analysis
- Analyze business performance, revenue, gross margin, operating expenses, and profitability across business units and projects.
- Review and analyze P&L performance to identify key business drivers, trends, risks, and areas for improvement.
- Prepare regular management reports and business performance updates.
- Develop financial and business models to support management decision-making.
- Analyze actual performance against budget, forecast, and business targets.
2. Business Feasibility & Investment Analysis
- Conduct feasibility studies for new business opportunities, projects, products, services, and business expansion initiatives.
- Develop financial models covering revenue, costs, investment requirements, ROI, payback period, and profitability.
- Assess business assumptions, key risks, and potential returns of proposed initiatives.
- Provide recommendations to management based on financial and commercial analysis.
3. Commercial Analysis
- Analyze sales performance, pricing, margins, product/category performance, and commercial effectiveness.
- Identify opportunities to improve revenue, margin, cost efficiency, and overall profitability.
- Work with Commercial and Business Unit teams to evaluate pricing strategies, promotional activities, and business initiatives.
- Monitor market and competitive trends to identify potential business opportunities and risks.
4. Business Planning & Forecasting
- Support annual budgeting, business planning, and forecasting processes.
- Develop financial projections and scenario analysis to support business planning.
- Conduct sensitivity analysis and evaluate different business scenarios.
- Track business performance against agreed targets and highlight significant deviations.
5. Management Reporting & Business Insights
- Prepare presentations, dashboards, and executive reports to communicate key business and financial insights.
- Translate complex financial data into clear and actionable business recommendations.
- Highlight key issues, risks, and opportunities requiring management attention.
- Support management meetings by providing relevant analysis and recommendations.
6. Cross-functional Collaboration
- Work closely with Finance, Commercial, Business Units, Strategy, Operations, and other functions to gather and validate business information.
- Support cross-functional projects and strategic initiatives requiring financial and commercial analysis.
- Coordinate with stakeholders to ensure assumptions, data, and financial projections are aligned.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree or higher in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business Administration, or related fields.
- 5–7 years of experience in Financial Analysis, Business Analysis, Commercial, FP&A, Investment Analysis, or related functions.
- Strong understanding of P&L, financial statements, business performance analysis, and financial modeling.
- Experience in conducting feasibility studies and evaluating new business opportunities.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to translate data into business insights.
- Good understanding of commercial drivers, revenue, margin, pricing, and profitability.
- Strong Excel and financial modeling skills.
- Experience with Power BI or other data visualization tools is an advantage.
- Strong communication and presentation skills with the ability to work with management and cross-functional stakeholders.
- Proactive, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Good command of English is an advantage.
