About the role

Job Title: Assistant Manager, FP&A - India

Works closely with and have impact on: Finance/ Commercial

Reports to: Senior Manager, Finance

Function: Finance

Work Location/Site: Gurgaon/ India

Role Overview

Providing support to Senior Finance Manager on India market. Responsible for supporting the monthly and financial processes – budgets, actuals, review and providing timely analytics to drive business outcomes.

Support India market as Finance Business Partner.

Fully support the finance activities for India market along with Global Finance team.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Leading and owning the budgeting process from collecting input and alignment with stakeholders, to the final submission to Global Finance with supervision from Senior Finance Manager. Reviewing the requirements of all applicable local company statutory and tax laws; and having the same inbuilt in the budget.
  • Provide analysis and deliver insight that links financial reports to business strategies.
  • Provide support on actual reporting with variance analysis bridges and highlight key drivers, risks or opportunities to India leadership.
  • Participation/ support in special projects by collaborating with various functions.
  • Monitor and analyze gross margins across products, customers and geographies, including the impact of pricing, discounts, and schemes, to identify margin leakages and drive corrective actions.
  • Track inventory ageing and slow/ non-moving stock, drive working capital efficiency across inventory, receivables and payables, and partner with SCM (Supply Chain Management) and Sales to optimize stock planning and liquidation.
  • Supporting India Finance and Commercial in pricing decisions, deal evaluations, and customer profitability analysis, while providing insights on schemes, incentives and trade spends.
  • Be the gatekeeper and preparer or support the India for the web-based approval process for India region.
  • Implement improvement in reporting and forecasting process by using Excel/ Power BI and Power Query tools.
  • Leverage Global Finance Power BI visualisation tool to improve the monthly/quarterly reporting deck for India markets.
  • Other general and administrative duties assigned by FM of HMIN.

Requirements

Experience

  • Minimum 4 to 6 years of experience in a finance and accounting role.
  • Prior experience in a FP&A environment mandatory.

Skills/Accreditations

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills are essential.
  • Strong analytical and project management skills.
  • Excel, Power BI proficiency mandatory.
  • SAP, D365, Power Query Tools, Microsoft Office proficiency preferred.
  • Able to work within high pressure international environment.
  • High degree of autonomy.
  • Must be willing to be extremely hands on with manual off-system work.
  • Quick learner, ability and willingness to work independently with little supervision and guidance.

Academic Qualifications

  • Degree in Accounting/ Finance or relevant qualification.

Travel requirements

  • As per business requirement.
