Overview Of The Role
The Assistant Manager - Group Accounting & Consolidation plays a key role in driving group consolidation and financial reporting within a dynamic, multi-national environment. The position is responsible for ensuring accurate and timely consolidated financial statements in compliance with IFRS and TFRS standards, while working closely with overseas subsidiaries and cross-functional teams. This role offers strong exposure to complex group reporting, audits, and strategic finance projects.
Key Responsibilities
Group Financial Consolidation & Reporting
- Prepare annual statutory consolidated financial statements and quarterly consolidation reports.
- Review and verify subsidiaries financial data to ensure accuracy and compliance with group policies and IFRS/TFRS.
- Reconcile intercompany transactions and balances on a monthly and year-end basis across the group.
- Coordinate with multiple entities to ensure timely and accurate financial data submission.
- Support the external audit process by providing documentation, resolving complex accounting issues, and coordinating with internal stakeholders to meet statutory deadlines.
- Provide guidance and technical support to overseas accounting teams to align with group consolidation policies.
- Drive improvements in consolidation workflows, timelines, and reporting efficiency.
Holding Entity Management
- Manage month-end closing processes and prepare financial statements for holding companies.
- Perform impairment reviews and valuation assessments for asset balances.
- Lead the audit process for holding entities, including documentation preparation and issue resolution.
Other Responsibilities
- Support ad-hoc projects such as implementation of new accounting standards, restructuring initiatives, and M&A due diligence.
- Perform other tasks as assigned by management.
Background And Experience
- Bachelors degree in Accounting.
- 35 years of experience in an audit firm.
- At least 2 years of experience in a corporate consolidation team (preferred).
- Strong knowledge of TFRS and IFRS, including consolidation technical expertise.
- Experience working in a multinational environment or with overseas finance teams.
- Advanced Excel skills with a focus on process automation and efficiency.
- Proactive mindset with the ability to manage multiple priorities under tight deadlines.
- Good command of English, both written and spoken.
- Solid knowledge of TFRS for Publicly Accountable Entities (PAE).
