Responsibilities:
- Manage the product assortment by selecting key titles and assortment titles
- Develop pricing strategies that optimize profit margins while remaining competitive
- Analyze sales trends and customer preferences to adjust merchandising strategies accordingly
- Plan and execute marketing promotions for target customers
- Monitor and maintain appropriate inventory levels to ensure product availability and minimize stockouts
- Analyze sales trends and adjust merchandising strategies
- Collaborate with suppliers and publishers to source new titles and negotiate terms
- Conduct occasional field visits to ensure proper merchandising operations and provide timely solutions
- Keep up-to-date with industry trends in books, publishing, and customer behavior
Qualifications
1. Bachelor's degree in business, Economics, or related field; MBA preferred.
2. Experience Merchandising, Buying, Purchasing or Product Management in the non-food retail business
3. Knowledge of merchandising skills: order planning, inventory management, and category organization
4. Proficient in Excel and data management
5. Strong Analytical skills and Negotiation skills
6. Good organization and planning skills, Proactive and positive attitude
