Roles and Responsibilities
- Assist the Project Manager in planning, organizing, and managing all piling and foundation activities.
- Coordinate daily site operations to ensure work progresses according to the approved programme.
- Monitor project progress, productivity, and resource utilization, and report any delays or issues.
- Ensure piling works are carried out in accordance with approved drawings, specifications, method statements, and project requirements.
- Coordinate with clients, consultants, subcontractors, suppliers, and relevant authorities to facilitate project execution.
- Support the preparation and monitoring of project schedules, manpower plans, equipment allocation, and material requirements.
- Review technical drawings, shop drawings, and engineering documents before construction.
- Monitor project costs, variations, and budget performance, and assist in cost control measures.
- Participate in project meetings and prepare meeting minutes, progress reports, and action plans.
- Ensure compliance with Workplace Safety and Health (WSH) regulations, environmental requirements, and company safety policies.
- Promote a strong safety culture by ensuring risk assessments, toolbox meetings, and safe work procedures are implemented.
- Coordinate quality inspections, testing, and documentation to ensure compliance with project quality standards.
- Assist in resolving technical, operational, and contractual issues encountered during construction.
- Monitor subcontractor performance and ensure work is completed according to contractual obligations.
- Coordinate procurement activities and ensure timely delivery of equipment, materials, and services.
- Support the preparation and submission of progress claims, variation orders, and project documentation.
- Maintain accurate project records, including daily reports, inspection records, and correspondence.
- Assist in identifying project risks and implementing mitigation measures.
- Support project commissioning, testing, final inspections, and handover activities.
- Ensure compliance with local authority regulations, client requirements, and company management systems.
- Perform any other duties assigned by the Project Manager to achieve project objectives.
Key Competencies - Strong knowledge of piling, deep foundation, and geotechnical construction methods.
- Good understanding of project planning, scheduling, cost control, and contract administration.
- Ability to interpret engineering drawings, specifications, and construction procedures.
Knowledge of Workplace Safety and Health (WSH) requirements, quality management systems (ISO 9001), and environmental management practices.
Requirements:
Degree in Civil Engineering
Possess relevant experience in managing Singapore construction projects (LTA/MRT)
Ability to manage schedule or planning on building works
Profession in building projects
At least 8 years of experience in LTA / MRT projects
Must be literate in English and have experience using computer software, and Microsoft office such as Microsoft word, excel, powerpoint etc.
