About the Role
The Assistant Relationship Manager (ARM) will support Relationship Managers (RMs) in managing corporate client portfolios, ensuring high-quality client service, and facilitating banking transactions.
Responsibilities
Relationship & Client Support
- Assist Relationship Managers (RMs) in managing assigned corporate client portfolios and maintaining strong client relationships.
- Assist with client onboarding, account opening, and day-to-day client servicing.
- Coordinate with internal teams to ensure timely delivery of banking products and services.
- Prepare client-related materials such as quotations, service requests, and account documentation.
Transaction & Product Support
- Assist RMs in handling banking transactions including Loans, Deposits, FX, Cash Management Services (CMS), and other products.
- Support transaction processing through documentation, system input, filing, and follow-ups with Operations and relevant teams.
- Monitor transaction progress to ensure smooth and timely execution in line with internal procedures.
KYC, Compliance & Risk Support
- Support KYC onboarding and periodic review processes in compliance with regulatory and internal requirements.
- Collect, review, and submit required customer documents; assist with alerts closure and compliance follow-ups.
- Perform basic system checks and due diligence activities as assigned.
Coordination, Reporting & Administration
- Act as a liaison between RMs and internal stakeholders (Operations, Credit, Compliance, etc.).
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date client records and documentation in internal systems.
- Assist in preparing reports, memos, and documentation; support audits and internal reviews when required.
- Other assignment is possible to request to assist RMs and teams.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree or above in Business, Finance, Economics, or related fields
- 1–3 years of experience in corporate banking, RM support, or operations (Fresh graduates with strong aptitude may be considered)
- Experience supporting client-facing teams is an advantage
- Fluent in English; Japanese language is an advantage
Required Skills
- Strong attention to detail and documentation accuracy
- Proactive, willing to learn, and good time management
- Basic understanding of corporate banking products and processes
- Knowledge of KYC, AML, and compliance requirements
- Good communication and coordination skills
- Proficient in MS Office and banking systems
Preferred Skills
- Experience supporting client-facing teams
