Job Summary:
We are partnering with a global manufacturing organization to identify an Assistant Tax Manager who will play a critical role in establishing and managing tax operations for a new manufacturing entity in Thailand.
This is an exciting opportunity for tax professionals with experience in manufacturing and greenfield setups, particularly within Electronics or PCB environments, who are looking to contribute to building a robust, compliant, and tax-efficient structure from the ground up.
Key Responsibilities:
As the Assistant Tax Manager, you will oversee tax compliance, reporting, and tax strategy, ensuring full alignment with Thai regulations while optimizing BOI incentives and international tax structures during the plant setup and expansion phase.
- Manage VAT filings, including input/output VAT and tax invoice accuracy
- Oversee Withholding Tax (WHT) filings and documentation
- Prepare Corporate Income Tax (CIT) data for mid-year and annual submissions
- Consolidate and manage BOI tax incentives and reporting compliance
- Prepare documentation and support tax audits and defense strategies
- Coordinate with external tax advisors, consultants, and auditors
- Develop and implement tax optimization strategies and adjustments
- Manage transfer pricing (TP) documentation and apply tax treaty benefits
- Handle other taxes including Stamp Duty, Specific Business Tax (SBT), and import duties
- Support greenfield setup, including tax structuring and process establishment
Qualifications & Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in accounting, Taxation, Business Administration, or related fields
- Minimum 5 years of experience in VAT, WHT, and CIT within Thailand
- Proven experience in manufacturing or multinational company environments
- Hands-on experience in tax audit preparation and compliance management
- Strong understanding of Thai tax regulations and statutory requirements
- Professional working proficiency in Thai and English is mandatory
- Ability to travel overseas for business/training
- Strong knowledge of BOI tax privileges and reporting requirements
- Experience in Electronics or PCB manufacturing environments
- Exposure to greenfield projects / new entity setup
- Proficiency in ERP systems for tax data management
- Background in Big 4 or global accounting firms is highly preferred
- High attention to detail and ability to manage strict deadlines
