Location: Pathum Thani, Thailand

Salary: THB 50,000–100,000/month, negotiable based on experience, language proficiency, and overall qualifications

About the Role

We are looking for an Assistant to the General Manager to support the overall operation and management of a manufacturing facility in Pathum Thani.

This role will work closely with the Factory General Manager and serve as a key coordination point across production, supply chain, HR, procurement, sales, government-related matters, and other functions.

The ideal candidate combines strong manufacturing operations experience, cross-functional coordination skills, data analysis capability, and Chinese–Thai communication skills.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support the General Manager in monitoring overall factory operations and business performance.
  • Consolidate and analyze operational data, including production output, capacity utilization, yield, material loss, and other key manufacturing indicators.
  • Monitor daily production activities and follow up on production targets, operational issues, and improvement actions.
  • Coordinate cross-functional teams to identify and resolve production bottlenecks and operational issues.
  • Support the implementation of 5S, lean manufacturing, and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Organize management meetings, prepare meeting materials and minutes, and follow up on action items through completion.
  • Provide Chinese–Thai interpretation and translation for meetings, business documents, management regulations, reports, and other operational materials when required.
  • Facilitate communication between Chinese management and local teams across production, HR, procurement, sales, and other departments.
  • Coordinate with relevant government agencies, industrial estate authorities, suppliers, customers, and business partners when required.
  • Support business visits, meetings, and external stakeholder coordination.
  • Lead or support special projects assigned by the General Manager, including cost optimization, capacity improvement, compliance reviews, and operational improvement projects.
  • Perform other responsibilities related to factory operations and management as required.

Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree or above, preferably in Industrial Engineering, Production/Manufacturing Management, Mechanical Engineering, Materials Engineering, or a related field.
  • 5+ years of experience in manufacturing, particularly in production operations, manufacturing coordination, or factory management.
  • Experience in plastic pipe, plastics, building materials, or a closely related manufacturing environment is highly preferred.
  • Strong understanding of manufacturing operations and production KPIs.
  • Able to analyze operational data such as output, yield, capacity utilization, material loss, and productivity.
  • Practical knowledge of 5S, lean manufacturing, continuous improvement, and production problem-solving.
  • Strong cross-functional coordination and project management skills.
  • Able to prepare business reports, operational summaries, and management presentations.
  • Professional Chinese (HSK 4 or above) and Thai communication skills are required for this role, including the ability to communicate effectively across management and operational teams.
  • Comfortable working in a factory environment and coordinating with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Strong integrity, confidentiality, accountability, logical thinking, and problem-solving skills.

Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience working with manufacturing organizations or multicultural teams.
  • Experience coordinating with government agencies, industrial estates, suppliers, or business partners.
  • Experience in production improvement, cost optimization, capacity expansion, or factory compliance projects.
  • Experience in a supervisory, production management, manufacturing management, factory operations, or similar role.
