As we continue growing across Southeast Asia, we're looking for a seasoned Director, Interior Design to join

our Bangkok office.

What you'll be doing:

Job Responsibilities:

1. Design Leadership and Creative Direction

• Lead the creative vision for projects, aligning them with client goals, Company standards, and the

latest workplace interior design trends.

• Uphold high standards for design quality, innovation, and attention to detail across all projects.

• Inspire and mentor the design team, fostering a culture of creativity, collaboration, and continuous

learning.

• Develop compelling and creative design storylines that align with clients design visions and

objectives.

• Define and implement design standards, ensuring consistency and quality across all projects.

2. Project Management and Delivery Oversight

• Oversee project lifecycles from concept to completion, ensuring timelines, budgets, and design

quality benchmarks are met.

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including project/construction managers, quantity

surveyors, business development managers, and contractors, to deliver integrated design

solutions.

• Conduct regular project reviews, providing constructive feedback and ensuring adherence to the

design vision.

• Manage and attend client presentations and project meetings.

• Collaborate with the cross-functional team to monitor project budgets and financial performance,

identifying opportunities for cost savings and efficiency improvements.

3. Business Development and Client Relations

• Collaborate with the Country Head to identify and pursue new business opportunities, building

strong relationships with potential clients.

• Actively participate in client meetings, presentations, and networking events to expand the

Company's market presence.

• Participate in developing comprehensive and creative proposals, including conceptual design

pitches, to win new projects.

• Serve as a key point of contact for clients, ensuring their needs and expectations are consistently

met or exceeded.

• Collaborate with the Country Head to align design strategies with overall business goals,

contributing to the Company's growth objectives.

• Provide regular updates and reports to the Country Head on project progress, resource allocation,

and design team performance.

• Represent the Company at industry events, conferences, and workshops to enhance the Company

brand visibility and attract talents.

4. Design Team Development and Mentorship

• Build and nurture a high-performing design team through recruitment, training, and professional

development.

• Mentor junior designers, providing guidance on best practices, technical skills, and career

development.

• Foster a collaborative and positive work environment, encouraging open communication and team

alignment.

• Conduct performance reviews and set individual and team goals to drive continuous improvement.

• Participate in regional leadership training and strategy workshops as required.

5. Others

• Build strong relationships with vendors, suppliers, subcontractors, and third-party consultants to

secure high-quality services and partnerships.

• Participate in contract and agreement negotiations with external partners to achieve optimal terms

for the Company and clients.

• Coordinate with other departments, such as marketing and sales, to support cross-functional

initiatives.

• Assist the Country Head in budgeting and financial planning for design projects, ensuring cost-

effectiveness and value delivery.

• Stay informed on industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices to maintain a

competitive edge.

• Carry out other duties as may be directed by the Company from time to time, either through its

management or the Employee's direct reporting superior.

Job Requirements:

• Min 12 years experience in corporate office interior design

• Bachelor's Degree in Interior Design, Architecture or its equivalent

• Extensive knowledge of design detailing and construction methodology

• Strong in conceptual design and space planning skills

• Able to work as part of a team independently; work under pressure and with a sense of urgency to

meet tight deadlines

• Service-oriented with excellent interpersonal, communication and presentation skills

• Proficiencies in SketchUp, Enscape, Photoshop, AutoCAD and MS Office are must haves
