The Associate Director of Global Sales plays an important management role in leading the property's overall sales efforts to maximize revenue across all segments (Corporate Transient, Wholesales Leisure, Groups and Long Stay) for full-service hotels and serviced apartment from North Asia region including Greater China, South Korea and Japan.
This role maintains a significant personal sales goals to achieve hotel's annual budget, provides direct mentorship to the sales team, and ensures effective implementation of the hotel's sales strategies and action plans
Main Duties & Responsibilities
Sales Strategy & Revenue Generation (Hands-On Focus)
- Strategy Implementation: Ensure the sales strategy for assigned region and segments is effectively implemented.
- Lead Management: Oversee and manage the hotel's response to incoming leads, ensuring timely follow up, qualification, and successful conversion to maximize revenue potential.
- Market Analysis: Conduct regular competitive analysis, market research, and sales activity reviews to identify trend and recommend tactical adjustments to hotel sales.
- Contract Negotiation: Lead negotiation for complex sales contracts, ensure terms and conditions align with overall revenue goals and policies.
Leadership & Team Support
- Team Mentorship: Providing guidance on client relationship management, negotiation tactics, and account penetration
- Supervision: Assist the hotel sales in the supervision and monitoring of the sales team's activity, pipeline, and booking goals
- Performance Tracking: Assist in analyzing hotel's performance and providing constructive feedback to drive performance improvements
- Departmental Coverage: During the absence of Director of Global Sales, act as the interim leader of North Asia region.
Administration & Reporting
- Performance Review and Strategies: Contribute to sale's performance view and budget reporting for assigned market segments
- Track Activity, Account Management, Opportunities
- Responsible for required reports
- Cross Functional Liaison: Coordinate closely with the revenue management, operations, brand & marketing team to ensure seamless execution of business and optimal revenue yield.
