Job Description

The Associate Director, HR Strategic Partner serves as a key business partner to the SVP Head of HR, Senior Director, Human Resources Strategic Partner, Property HR Leaders, and other senior leaders across the organization.

This role is responsible for shaping and executing HR strategies aligned with business objectives, ensuring strong organizational capability and sustainable performance. The position provides both strategic direction and tactical guidance on all HR matters, including:

  • Talent management and succession planning
  • Workforce planning and organizational design
  • Employee engagement and culture development
  • Compensation and benefits alignment
  • Employee relations and complex case management
  • Governance, compliance, and policy oversight

The role also acts as a bridge between corporate HR strategy and property-level execution, ensuring consistency, accountability, and business impact.

Main Duties & Responsibilities

  • Partner closely with the Senior Director, Human Resources Strategic Partner, and business leaders to translate business priorities into effective HR strategies and initiatives that drive organizational performance.
  • Provide strategic HR advisory and guidance to property HR leaders and management teams on key areas including talent management, succession planning, workforce planning, and organizational effectiveness.
  • Support the development and execution of enterprise HR initiatives and programs, ensuring alignment with corporate strategy, effective implementation across properties, and timely delivery of key milestones.
  • Monitor and analyze HR data and workforce metrics to identify trends, risks, and opportunities, and provide actionable insights and recommendations to the Senior Director, Human Resources Strategic Partner and business stakeholders.
  • Collaborate with the Talent Acquisition team to support leadership hiring strategies and strengthen the organization's pipeline of high-potential talent.
  • Work closely with the Talent Management and Culture team to identify organizational capability gaps and support the implementation of leadership development and learning initiatives.
  • Provide oversight and guidance on employee relations matters and complex people cases, ensuring fair, consistent, and compliant resolution in line with company policies and local regulations.
  • Act as a key liaison between corporate HR functions and property HR teams to ensure effective communication, alignment, and execution of HR strategies across the organization.

Support the Senior Director, Human Resources Strategic Partner in managing relationships with key internal stakeholders, including senior leaders and property leadership teams, ensuring strong HR partnership and trusted advisory support.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in HR or related field required; Master's degree preferred
  • 5+ years of HR experience, with at least 2 years in a strategic HR business partner role
  • Experience in the hospitality industry strongly preferred.
  • Analytical skills, with the ability to analyze data and metrics to identify trends and opportunities for improvement.
  • Organizational skills: must be highly organized, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple projects and tasks effectively.
  • Interpersonal skills: Strong communication, collaboration, and relationship-building skills are critical for success in this role, as the coordinator will be working closely with senior HR leaders, line managers, and employees
  • Adaptability and flexibility: must be able to adapt to change, work well under pressure, and be flexible in the face of shifting priorities and deadlines.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Commitment to ethics and confidentiality: must be committed to upholding ethical standards and maintaining confidentiality in all aspects of the role
  • Overall, the HR Strategic Partner for the SVP of HR in the hotel industry at a corporate function must be a highly organized, detail-oriented, and adaptive individual with strong interpersonal and problem- solving skills, and a commitment to ethics and confidentiality,
