Job Description

Portfolio Performance & Center of Excellence

  • Lead portfolio performance management and the Finance Center of Excellence across wholesale and retail.
  • Set performance frameworks, KPIs, standards, and review routines to drive consistent performance management across the business.
  • Translate Group Finance priorities into clear initiatives, targets, and execution plans.
  • Drive adoption of best practices and consistent financial analysis across business units.

Performance Management & Strategic Insight

  • Oversee business and portfolio performance against prior year, budget, latest estimate, and strategic targets.
  • Identify key performance drivers, structural gaps, risks, and value creation opportunities.
  • Translate performance insights into strategic priorities and actionable recommendations for senior management.
  • Lead performance reviews with business and finance leadership and ensure follow-through on key actions.

Reporting, Data & Finance Excellence

  • Set standards for management reporting, KPI definitions, dashboards, and performance review processes.
  • Ensure financial and operational information is accurate, consistent, timely, and decision-useful.
  • Drive standardization, simplification, automation, and continuous improvement of finance processes and reporting.
  • Partner with Finance Transformation and IT/Data teams to enhance data, systems, and performance management capabilities.

Business Partnership & Governance

  • Act as a strategic finance partner to business and finance leaders, challenging performance, assumptions, and improvement plans.
  • Lead cross-functional initiatives with Finance, Accounting, FP&A, Operations, IT/Data, and Transformation teams.
  • Establish governance and accountability for performance improvement initiatives and monitor delivery of agreed outcomes.
  • Escalate major performance risks and strategic issues to the Director and provide recommendations for resolution.

Leadership & Capability Building

  • Lead and develop the Portfolio Performance & CoE team, building strong capabilities in performance management, financial analysis, and business partnering.
  • Establish and share best practices across Finance and business units.
  • Foster a culture of accountability, continuous improvement, and data-driven decision-making.

Qualification:

Experience gained from top-tier consulting firms, investment banking, private equity, corporate strategy, or high-performing multinational organisations is highly preferred.

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Master's degree (MBA, MSc Finance, Economics, Strategy, or related discipline) from a reputable international university is highly preferred.
  • CFA, CPA, CIMA, or other relevant professional qualifications are an advantage.
  • Minimum 12-15 years of experience in Finance, FP&A, Portfolio Management, Business Performance, Strategy, Consulting, Investment Banking, or related fields.
  • Proven experience leading portfolio performance management, business performance reviews, and enterprise-wide performance improvement initiatives.
  • Strong financial analysis, strategic planning, KPI management, and performance management capabilities.
  • Experience establishing Finance Center of Excellence frameworks, governance, reporting standards, or finance transformation initiatives.
  • Strong understanding of retail, wholesale, consumer, FMCG, or multi-business environments.
  • Demonstrated ability to translate complex financial and operational data into strategic insights and executive recommendations.
  • Experience working closely with C-suite executives and senior stakeholders in driving business performance and strategic priorities.
  • Strong leadership experience with a track record of building high-performing teams and developing talent.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Fluent in English, with the ability to communicate effectively in a multinational and cross-functional environment.
  • Strong analytical thinking, commercial acumen, problem-solving skills, and a results-oriented mindset.
  • High level of integrity, ownership, resilience, and ability to drive change in a fast-paced organisation.
