Web Design & Development Manager
We are seeking a highly skilled and versatile individual to fill the role of Web Design & Development Manager. In this position, you will be responsible for leading a team of web developers while also actively participating in and completing web design and programming projects. The ideal candidate will possess a unique blend of design experience, programming expertise, strong leadership capabilities, and excellent communication skills.
Through collaboration with stakeholders and management, the Web Design & Development Manager will ensure that projects are not only technically sound but also strategically aligned with the broader objectives of the organization.
Responsibilities:
Web Design & Development:
· Conceptualize, design, and develop visually appealing and user-friendly websites, ensuring a seamless user experience across various devices and platforms.
· Translate design mockups and wireframes into fully functional web pages using HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and other relevant technologies.
· Champion UX/UI best practices, ensuring the website is user-centric and optimized for conversion.
· Implement responsive design principles and optimize websites for performance, speed, and search engine optimization (SEO).
Stakeholder Communication & Collaboration:
· Serve as the primary point of contact for stakeholders and leadership providing regular updates on project progress, milestones, and any potential issues or concerns.
· Actively engage with stakeholders to gather project requirements, clarify expectations, and ensure alignment with organizational goals and objectives.
· Collaborate closely with stakeholders throughout the project lifecycle, soliciting feedback, addressing inquiries, and incorporating suggestions to deliver high-quality solutions that meet or exceed expectations.
· Demonstrate strong leadership and diplomacy skills in managing stakeholder relationships, resolving conflicts, and negotiating priorities to achieve consensus and drive project success.
Team Management:
· Lead a team of web developers, providing guidance, support, and mentorship to ensure the successful execution of projects.
· Foster a collaborative and innovative work environment, encouraging creativity and continuous improvement within the team.
· Manage workload distribution, project timelines, and resource allocation to optimize productivity and meet deadlines.
Project Management:
· Oversee the entire project lifecycle from inception to completion, ensuring adherence to project requirements, timelines, and budgets.
· Coordinate with stakeholders, including clients, designers, developers, and QA testers, to gather feedback, address concerns, and make necessary adjustments.
· Monitor project progress, identify potential risks or bottlenecks, and implement effective strategies to mitigate issues and ensure project success.
Quality Assurance:
· Conduct thorough testing and debugging of websites to identify and resolve any technical issues or inconsistencies.
· Perform cross-browser compatibility testing and ensure websites are compatible with multiple browsers and devices.
· Maintain high standards of quality and ensure deliverables meet established design and performance benchmarks.
· Awareness of web security practices is critical to protect websites from vulnerabilities and attacks. This includes knowledge of secure coding practices, SSL certificates, and data protection techniques.
Continuous Learning & Development:
· Utilize analytics (e.g., Google Analytics) to measure website performance and user engagement. Implement strategies for continuous improvement based on data insights.
· Stay updated on industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in web design and development.
· Encourage professional growth and development among team members through training, workshops, and knowledge-sharing sessions.
Requirements:
· Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Web Design, or a related field.
· Proven experience (7 years) in web design, front-end development, and project management.
· Proficiency in HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and other relevant web technologies.
· Strong graphic design skills and proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (e.g., Photoshop, Illustrator).
· Experience with responsive design principles and frameworks (e.g., Bootstrap).
· Excellent communication, leadership, and interpersonal skills.
· Ability to multitask, prioritize workload, and adapt to changing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
· Experience with content management systems (e.g., WordPress).
· Familiarity with version control systems (e.g., Git) and agile methodologies.
