Associate Product Manager

Minimum Qualifications

• 1-3 years of product management experience with direct, end-to-end ownership of a defined product area, including accountability from discovery through delivery and post-release performance measurement.
• Proven ability to make independent prioritisation decisions from data, including the ability to interpret usage analytics, synthesize discovery findings, and make evidence-based trade-off calls without close oversight.
• Hands-on experience writing detailed product specifications, managing engineering backlogs, and running sprint cycles within an agile or equivalent structured delivery environment.
• Clear communication in English across technical and non-technical stakeholders, with the ability to articulate product trade-offs and commercial rationale.
• Track record of working directly with engineering and design to deliver releases on schedule and to quality, with personal accountability for what ships and how it performs.
• Commercial awareness of how product decisions affect user adoption, retention, and business outcomes, with the ability to frame product work in terms of measurable impact.

Preferred Qualifications

• Prior experience in a B2B SaaS, marketplace, or platform business with exposure to API-driven product models, multi-sided marketplace dynamics, or complex technical integration requirements.
• Familiarity with advanced discovery and analytics tooling such as Amplitude, Mixpanel, or equivalent, used to inform prioritisation decisions beyond surface-level dashboards.
• Exposure to payment infrastructure, property management software, or travel distribution systems, with the ability to onboard quickly into complex product ecosystems.

As an Associate Product Manager at Bakuun, you will own a defined product area with full accountability for its direction, delivery, and commercial performance. You will work closely with engineering, design, and revenue teams to build product that directly improves how operators distribute, manage, and transact across the platform. The role rewards analytical precision, disciplined prioritisation, and the ability to move from insight to shipped product with clear commercial intent.

Responsibilities

• Own a defined product area end-to-end: drive discovery, shape the roadmap, lead delivery, and measure outcomes against commercial and user metrics.
• Make prioritisation and trade-off calls independently, translating business goals and user insights into a sequenced roadmap, and manage scope creep and competing priorities early to keep stakeholders aligned.
• Run structured discovery across user research, support data, and platform analytics to keep the backlog informed and commercially grounded.
• Partner with engineering and design to ship on schedule and to quality, writing specs and user stories clear enough to execute with minimal clarification and own what ships, how it performs, and what follows.
• Translate product outcomes into commercial terms, feeding performance reporting into product reviews and stakeholder communications.
• Monitor post-release performance, identify variance from expected outcomes, and drive evidence-based iteration.
