Job Description

Position Overview

We are seeking a highly organized, proactive, and detail-oriented Associate Project Manager (APM) to spearhead the end-to-end transition of our warehouse facility operations. This critical 1-year contract role serves as the operational glue, ensuring inventory, equipment, and infrastructure move seamlessly from the legacy facility to the new site with minimal downtime.

The ideal candidate thrives in dynamic environments, enjoys orchestrating complex moving parts, and takes pride in keeping projects on time and within budget.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Pre-Move Planning & Strategy

● Timeline & Budget: Assist in defining project scope, mapping detailed budgets, and creating comprehensive project timelines using Gantt charts and PM tools that synchronize both the warehouse relocation and office construction phases.

● Risk Management: Actively identify potential operational bottlenecks, regulatory risks, or safety hazards, and help develop robust contingency plans.

● Stakeholder Alignment: Coordinate internal communication across departments (Logistics, IT, Procurement, and Safety) to ensure alignment on milestones.

2. Vendor Management & Coordination

● Sourcing & Liaising: Serve as the primary point of contact for external vendors, including specialized movers, riggers, racking installers, and IT/network contractors.

● Schedules & Compliance: Manage vendor onboarding, coordinate on-site schedules to prevent conflicts, and ensure all third-party work meets safety and quality standards.

3. Inventory & Stock Management

● Data Integrity: Oversee pre-move inventory audits to ensure 100% data accuracy before transit.

● Chain of Custody: Implement strict protocols for labeling, packing, tracking, and safe transfer of goods to eliminate discrepancies or damage during the move.

4. Site Commissioning & Launch

● Facility Setup: Support physical layout execution, racking installation, and zoning of the new warehouse.

● Testing & Handover: Coordinate the testing of warehouse equipment, IT infrastructure, and safety systems to ensure full operational readiness from day one.

Qualifications & Skills:

● Experience: 3–5 years in project management, supply chain, logistics, or warehouse operations. Direct experience with facility relocation or setup is a strong advantage.

● Project Tools: Proficiency in project management and creating Gantt charts.

● Technical Savvy: Strong understanding of warehouse workflows, inventory management systems (WMS), and basic IT infrastructure layout.

● Soft Skills: Exceptional organizational skills, sharp problem-solving abilities under pressure, and professional vendor management communication.

● Education: Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, Engineering, or a related field. CAPM or PMP certification is a plus.
