Position Title:

SAP Functional Consultant – Finance (FI)

Location: Zoetis ICC, Hyderabad, India

Primary Purpose

This role is responsible for delivering SAP Finance solutions that meet business requirements and best practices. The consultant will support the implementation, rollout, enhancement, and ongoing support of SAP Finance modules. This position will engage with business stakeholders to gather requirements, provide solutions, ensure seamless system integration, and manage multiple priorities in a dynamic environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and deliver solutions across SAP Finance modules, ensuring they align with business requirements and industry best practices.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure the effective delivery of projects in SAP Finance modules.
• Identify and resolve issues promptly within SLA guidelines, providing ongoing support to business users.
• Engage with stakeholders to gather business requirements, provide solutions that align with business objectives, and implement scalable, reliable systems.
• Manage multiple tasks and priorities independently while ensuring timely and quality project execution.
• Conduct unit, integration, and end-to-end testing to ensure the reliability, performance, and quality of SAP Finance solutions.
• Act as a change agent, promoting global standard best practices and identifying opportunities for transformation and innovation in SAP Finance processes.

Organizational Relationships

• Interact with business stakeholders to gather integration requirements, understand business processes, and ensure integration solutions align with organizational goals.
• Participate in project planning activities, risk assessments, and scheduling for SAP Finance projects.
• Coordinate with external vendors or partners providing software or services to be integrated with SAP systems.
• Collaborate with implementation partners responsible for deploying, configuring, or maintaining SAP solutions.
• Work with developers and team members to implement integration solutions, share knowledge, and address technical challenges.

Education and Experience

Education:

• Master's or Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field.
• Professional qualifications such as Chartered Accountant (CA) or Cost Accountant (CMA) are required.
• SAP certification is preferred.

Experience:

• 3+ years of experience post-qualification and at least 2 years in SAP Finance (FI) implementations and support.
• Strong theoretical foundation in finance and accounting principles.
• In-depth knowledge of SAP Financial Accounting (FI) modules, including General Ledger, Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Asset Accounting, and Cash Management.
• Strong analytical skills and excellent communication abilities.
• Proactive approach to problem-solving and process optimization.

Technical Skills Requirements

• Experience in Auditing, Compliance, Legal Reporting, Financial and Cost Accounting, Budgeting, and Consolidation.
• Expertise in SAP Finance modules and processes, including:
• General Ledger (GL), Accounts Receivable (AR), and Accounts Payable (AP).
• Asset Accounting (AA), Bank Accounting, and Cash Management.

Physical Position Requirements

• Location: Hyderabad, India
• Working Hours: 3:00 PM to 12:00 AM EST (ICC Second Shift)
• Time Zone Overlap: Occasionally required during production go-live and critical project phases to ensure smooth collaboration with the EST time zone.
• Weekend Work: Occasional weekend work may be required to minimize business impact during system changes or go-lives.
