PTLH is an investment holding company with its headquarters in the Lao PDR with a representative office in Bangkok, Thailand. The PTLH portfolio consists of a well-diversified mix of ventures that not only seeks to dominate their respective markets but also to drive synergistic growth between the member companies. Core portfolio consists of trading company Kouanchay Import-Export (KCC), oil distributor PTL, power project developer CS Power (CSP), logistics provider Sitthi Logistics (STL). CS Lighting Electronics Co., Ltd (CSL), an electrical appliance distributor (lamp / light bulb products) and the Lao Bullion Bank (LBB) was recently added in 2024. PTL Capital (PTLC) is a newly created financial advisory division of PTLH as part of the group's diversification into financial services and wider ecosystem build out.

Role The Position

As an Associate / Senior Associate, you will play a key role in driving projects from start to finish. You will work closely with senior team members on live transactions and business development initiatives, while also helping to mentor Analysts together with your Manager (VP) and other senior colleagues. This is a unique chance to help shape the future of finance in one of Asia's fastest-growing frontier markets.

Job Description

  • Transaction Execution: Build and maintain financial models and valuation; assist in preparing investor decks, pitchbooks, prospectuses, due diligence and documentation process.
  • Deal Structuring Support: Work with senior bankers on term sheets and transaction structures (gold-backed, sovereign, or project finance).
  • Research & Analysis: Conduct market, policy and sector research to inform deal strategy and origination.
  • Client Interface: Prepare meeting materials, attend client calls and maintain organized follow-ups and data rooms.
  • Team & Process Support: Mentor Analysts, maintain templates and model libraries, contribute to knowledge sharing

Qualifications

  • Education: Bachelor's degree in finance, Economics or Business (Master's or CFA/CAIA preferred).
  • Experience: 3-5 years of experience in investment banking, financial advisory, project finance or consulting. Exposure to MDBs, DFIs or sovereign transactions is advantageous.
  • Technical Mastery: Strong Excel and PowerPoint skills, financial modeling, valuation and presentation-building proficiency.
  • Language: Fluent in English (required); Lao and/or Thai preferred; additional regional languages an advantage.
