Software Engineer - Online Performance Monitor (C++, Python, JavaScript):

Deutsche Börse Group is one of the largest exchange organizations worldwide. As a financial marketplace organizer, the company provides a portfolio of services covering the entire process chain: securities and derivatives trading and clearing, netting and transaction settlement, custody, and provision of market information. We design, build and operate our own sophisticated software solutions. These highly integrated and automated IT systems are essential to our success.

Your area of work:

• The OPM is a long running and highly unique project within the group, which gives direct insight and metrics into the performance of our trading systems.
• Our customers are diverse mix of other developers, technical staff, customer-support staff, exchange system operators, and others with whom you will be in close contact when tailoring solutions.
• Development stack: C++, Python, JavaScript, MySQL, D3, Linux, GCP, Jenkins, GitHub, Jira.
• We're a Linux development house with access to both on-prem and cloud development resources.

Your responsibilities:

• You will use your C++ and Python skills to develop and maintain a complex multi-layered system that aggregates billions of exchanges trading-system messages and telemetry every day and provides them via our GUI to our internal customers.
• You'll be joining a small, distributed team and will be deeply involved in all stages of the development process from ideas, requirements, design, and problem analysis through to implementation.
• This is a very hands-on and solution-oriented role which grants a unique perspective into the T7 trading system, enabling your T-shaped skill growth potential in not only software development, but also sought-after trading-system knowledge.

Your profile:

• 2 years of experience with C++ and Python
• Proficiency in JavaScript and MySQL
• Preferably a degree in Computer Science or related field
• Positive attitude towards learning new technologies
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Team oriented mindset with ability to collaborate effectively across locations
• Excellent communication skills in English
• Basic knowledge of exchange services and trading would be helpful
