ATE Test Engineer
European Tech Recruit are working closely with a leading European sensors company who are looking for a talented ATE Test Engineer to join their team and work onsite with one of their suppliers in Bangkok
Responsibilities as ATE Test Engineer:
- Supervise and manage all activities related to Backend Test Equipment, Wafer Sort and Final Test Flow including validation of test cell and production flow steps for packaged sensors.
- Industrialization of test solutions and transfer to production, including documentation with close cooperation and interface to test support, product engineering, local production, operators, and technicians.
- Drive daily test operation priorities, organizes alignment meetings with Subcontractors team and defines priorities. Involving and coordinating sub-contractors of test equipment.
- Support operations initiatives such as but not limited to product transfer, OEE improvement, yield optimization, test time reduction, etc.
- Close contact with TPE core team in Europe to co-define, implement, roll out and supervise all OCAP (Out of Control Action Plans) and TPR (Test Production Rules) procedures in Subcontractors.
- Coordinate all local preparations for NPI's (new products or new product variant introductions), specified and driven by Project R&D.
- As needed, troubleshoot and debug test equipment and test programs & develop, maintain test reports and documentation including test procedures.
- Reporting to operations team status of tester/priorities taken/yields observed/OCAP actions taken.
Requirements:
- BSc in Electronics or equivalent related to semiconductor industry.
- 5+ years of experience with Wafertest, Backend Test Flows and Equipment.
- Deep understanding in semiconductor test methodology and sensor trimming.
- Hands on experience with debug, Design for Test and 8D quality methodology.
- Experience with high-level programming languages like C, Pascal.
- Good understanding of Automatic Test Equipment (ATE).
- Proven experience on test engineering, on the Advantest V93k platform and/or Cohu LTX/DiamondX and Fusion DMX platforms.
- Experience in writing/modifying/verifying test programs and porting test programs between ATE platforms.
- Experience with Test hardware development is preferred.
- Affinity with sensor physics and test concepts for environmental sensors.
- Able to define test strategies together with external test partners/houses and internal TPE.
- Able to coordinate OEM / subcontractors activities on site.
- Good analytical analysis skills and self-organization.
- Strong communication and documentation skills.
- Willingness to travel, prepared to travel for longer time (months) for training purposes.
- Affinity with industrialization of semiconductor products.
- Able to steer continuous test improvement actions.
- Good IT/software capabilities (Excel, knowledge in statistic software like Spotfire).
- Languages: Fluent English (spoken and written). Spoken Thai would be strong advantage.
