Job Description
The Auto Body Paint Technician will be responsible for refinishing and painting repaired or damaged vehicle parts in a safe and quality manner, with a finish that meets or exceeds the original factory specifications. The end result should be an invisible repair to delight the customer. The successful candidate is a master of his craft and proud of all his previous repair work.
Responsibilities
Operates and uses all body shop equipment properly and safelyMasks and protects parts that are not to be painted or coatedMixes paint according to specifications. Tints color for proper matchProduces test panels when needed to obtain industry acceptable color matchPaints surface using sprayer or brush as appropriateInspects painted units for quality of workmanship, noting any runs, sags and unpainted areasMaintains tools and keeps equipment clean and in a proper state of repairMaintains and wears all required safety and health personal protective equipment, including respirator, in the manner recommended by the equipment manufacturerComplies with all Thailand laws and environmental standardsAble to work flexible hours and be available to work extended hours to complete tasks as requested by managementAttends training in order to constantly improveOther Responsibilities: Perform other related duties as assigned, based on the business need
Requirements:
Minimum 5 years in an water based paint experienceCapable of restoring damaged paint to factory original specificationsMust have an interest in completing only the highest quality workKnowledge of various paint brands and how to mix and color matchKnowledge of repair techniques and tools required to perform whole body paint workAbove average organizational skillsAble to use vibratory/hand tools, stand, bend, squat, twist, lift, move and carry up to 50 poundsHave working knowledge of proper corrosion protection restoring techniquesAbility to travel for training Paint and parts scheduling planning is a must.
