Hire Quality Software is a growing software development company based in Chiang Mai, Thailand, working with international clients across Europe. We are looking for an Automation QA Engineer who goes beyond traditional UI testing.
In this role, you will work closely with developers to ensure the reliability and quality of our applications by building automated tests, validating APIs, and analyzing system data.
This position is ideal for someone who enjoys investigating system behavior, working with databases, and improving software quality through automation.
Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain automated test suites for web applications and REST APIs
- Execute functional, integration, and regression testing across complex application workflows
- Validate API endpoints and integrations using tools such as Postman, Swagger, or automated API tests
- Query databases using SQL to verify data integrity and investigate issues
- Analyze defects and perform root cause analysis by examining logs, APIs, and database records
- Collaborate with developers and product owners to clarify requirements and reproduce issues
- Document testing results and communicate findings to internal teams and international clients
- Contribute to improving testing processes, automation coverage, and overall product quality
Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years of experience in Software Testing or Quality Assurance
- Experience with test automation tools such as Playwright, Selenium, or Cypress
- Strong SQL skills and experience querying relational databases
- Experience testing REST APIs
- Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving skills
- Ability to investigate and debug complex system issues
- Functional English communication skills
