TheRole: Automotive Forecasting Analyst
Location: Bangkok, Thailand
Role Overview: The Automotive Forecasting Analyst at Mobility Global will leverage cutting-edge AI-supported tools and advanced analytics to deliver precise vehicle market forecasts across Asia. You will utilize the company's own proprietary forecasting models, alongside real-time demand data to interpret vast datasets, automate routine forecasting tasks, and synthesize unstructured data such as social sentiment, geopolitical developments, and supply chain signals into strategic insights.
Core Responsibilities
- Vehicle Forecasting and Data Analysis: Utilize the company's internal forecasting platform and AI analytics to automate baseline vehicle sales predictions, incorporating external factors like policy changes, macroeconomic shifts, and consumer trends for strategic scenario planning.
- Client Advisory & Reporting: Present forecast insights and analytical results through interactive dashboards and streamlined reporting tools, helping clients navigate automotive trends, supply chain disruptions, and market shifts.
- Model Optimization & Validation: Collaborate closely with cross-functional departments, including product and regional teams as well as data science, to ensure forecast alignment, incorporate stakeholder feedback, and leverage AI tools to continually improve model accuracy and explainability.
- Market Intelligence & Networking: Engage with automotive industry partners and key contacts to validate data, gather valuable insights, and share information through regular interactions and collaborative partnerships. Additionally, actively support the organization's sales and marketing initiatives to drive growth and strengthen industry relationships.
Required Skills
What We're Looking For:
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Economics, Engineering, Data Science, Business, or related fields.
- 3 to 10 years of experience in automotive industry at Car Manufacturers or Automotive suppliers in Product planning , Supply Chain, Engineering, Volume Planning, Sales Planning or related industry roles.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel and PowerPoint. Experience with data visualization and analytics tools (e.g., PowerBI, Tableau) is preferable. Familiarity with AI-supported tools and machine learning concepts is a plus.
- Business-level proficiency in English, both written and spoken. Knowledge of additional languages is a plus.
- Exceptional communication skills, including writing, interpersonal, and listening abilities, as well as presentation skills developed through experience with both large and small audiences.
- Passion for automotive industry trends, especially alternative powertrains, connected mobility, and digital transformation.
