The role of
AVP - AI Applications is fully responsible for managing AI related Application software engineering teams with strong leadership skills driving team's productivity and efficiency as well as good technical experience delivering all aspect of the software development life cycle and oversee the delivery of software solutions for KTAXA. This includes to make sure our software engineering team align in standardized AXA methodology & architecture & framework.
Job Scopes
- Continually develop our software delivery lifecycle (SDLC) capabilities to enable parallel development streams and driving changes to market quicker.
- Deliver on time and with effective resource solutions, frameworks and teams that demonstrate value for money whilst managing technical delivery, financial and business stakeholders.
- Develop and plan system / software upgrades to keep our systems current as well as feed into the 5 year planning cycle by defining technology projects required to keep us competitive.
- Promoting and inspiring the team member with business directional value and make sure software engineering practices sustain horizontal scalability of systems, continuous engineering in maintenance, and collaborative working.
- Collaborate with Enterprise and Solution architect to ensure the roadmaps of future technology are met with appropriate processes, skills and tools.
- Utilize our on-shore and off shore suppliers and ensuring there is appropriate balance between in-house, contractor and supplier teams.
- Matrix manage capability of technical roles within the existing business focused delivery framework.
- Lead in providing technical guidance, strategic direction and ownership and technical governance.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, IT, Engineering or related field, Master's Degree is a plus
- At least 7 years experience in software development
- Proven 3-5 years experience in deep technical experience of AI development
- Experience in leading and managing development teams
- Deep experience and knowledge of the full software delivery life cycle
- Good experience with development and delivery practices such as Agile, Scrum, Lean, Kanban, xp, DevOps, pair programming, etc.
- Experience of enterprise organisations and complex architectures.
- Deep technical experience of implementation, architecture and infrastructure.
- Experience, qualifications and certifications for key programming languages, ideally Java. Additional experience with C#, JavaScript (Node, Angular), GIT hub, Maven, Docker, Jenkins would be desired
- Good English communication skills
