Job Description
Role Summary: Lead and coordinate the centralized budgeting and performance management processes for total bank OPEX and CAPEX, ensuring strategic alignment across all Business Units (BU) and Support Units (SU). Drive cost efficiency, performance transparency, and effective resource utilization in collaboration with UOB Group and internal stakeholders.
1.Strategic Budget Coordination
Design and distribute standardized budget templates to all BU/SU for OPEX and CAPEX planning.
Oversee system input and consolidation for key support functions including Group Credit, CRES, HR, SHF, and others.
Ensure alignment of budget planning with strategic priorities and financial targets.
2.Centralized Financial Reporting
Lead monthly reporting of OPEX and CAPEX across all BU/SU.
Provide insights and variance analysis to support strategic decision-making.
3.Performance Tracking & Forecasting
Monitor and report monthly performance of SU and SHF against financial year forecasts (FYF).
Identify trends, risks, and opportunities to enhance operational efficiency.
4.Group-Level Collaboration
Act as the key liaison with UOB Group for cost analysis and benchmarking of support functions.
Align local cost structures with group-wide financial strategies.
5.Expense Governance
Control and monitor discretionary spending and accruals to ensure compliance and fiscal discipline.
Provide strategic guidance on the optimal use of remaining CAPEX budgets across SU functions.
