Job Purpose:
Back Office Applications Engineer will be an integral part of the team, actively engaged in ensuring the smooth operation and continuous technical improvement of our critical back-office application systems. This role is responsible for hands-on experience by supporting vendor coordination, cross-checking technical deliverables against business requirements, preparing detailed test environments for UAT and technical testing, documenting deployment procedures, and actively participating in system health and resilience monitoring, including BCP initiatives.
Key Accountabilities:
- Prepare and configure test environments for SIT and support UAT readiness.
- Performing technical testing during SIT and UAT phrase, also supporting tech LV testing.
- Managing cases by registering issues, tracking progress, and providing status updates to users.
- Document and assist in the execution of application deployment procedures and change management processes.
- Provide initial technical support and troubleshooting for application-related incidents.
- Supporting the integration of back-office applications with other internal and external financial software systems.
- Supporting SDLC, CI/CD, and agile methodologies for back-office application development.
- Supporting all back-office applications comply with internal IT standards, regulatory requirements
- Collaborate with developers, network engineers, and IT support to ensure smooth operations.
Qualification Required:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Engineering, Information Technology, or related field.
- 7+ years of software development experience preferably in financial back office system
- Proficiency in AIX and Linux operating systems with shell scripting for system administration.
- Proficiency in SQL for querying and understanding database structures.
- Proficiency in writing Scripting/automation skills (PowerShell, Bash, Python).
- Basic Knowledge of financial market data, order management, and regulatory reporting is a plus.
- Familiarity with deployment and backup concepts and tools
- Knowledge of networking fundamentals (TCP/IP, routing, firewalls, VPN).
- Experience with virtualization platforms (VMware, Hyper-V, or KVM) is a plus.
- Experience with system monitoring tools is a plus.
- Experience with virtualization technologies (e.g., VMware, Docker, Kubernetes) is a plus.
- Experience with Agile methodologies and experience with CI/CD tools is a plus.
- Excellent verbal and written communication, negotiation, and vendor management skills.

- Ability to manage complex projects and multiple priorities effectively.
