Throughout the Food & Beverage Division you create unique experiences for guests going above and beyond for them to have extraordinary experience within and across the different outlets.
As Beverage Manager, you are responsible for providing a cool and sought-after bar experience in the Hotels bars and restaurants. Areas of responsibility include all the bars and the beverage program for in-room dining, banqueting and mini bar as well.
You take responsibility for the daily operational success of the outlet bars and assists the bar teams when needed. You guide team members by demonstrating technical skills, sharing knowledge, and upholding department and hotel standards.
Through operational expertise, you ensure the bars are recognized amongst Asia's best with market leading beverage and food programming, service levels and atmosphere. You cherish these moments, work together as a team, promote harmony, enhance productivity and have fun.
As a Beverage Manager you report to the Director of Food and Beverage and assist and provide support to Bars Manager and their teams.
Duties & Responsibilities:
.Provide the leadership, vision and direction to bring together and prioritize the departmental goals in a way that will be efficient and effective.
.Ongoing control and enhancement of quality standards and guest service.
.Ensuring that all outlets maintain a first class and positive visual impact including ambiance, cleanliness, orderliness, dcor and service flows.
.Create and implement guest preference programs.
.Meet with guests on an informal basis during meals or upon departure to obtain feedback on quality of food and beverage, service levels and overall satisfaction.
.Ensure all team members are aware of guest satisfaction survey results and follow up action plans.
.Work with the teams to create new ideas and promotions resulting in increased opportunities for food and beverage sales.
.Ensure creation specialty beverage promotions for slow moving items and high margin products.
.Assist with the creation and execution of the restaurant Budget and forecast.
.Assist with the creation and execution of the F&B marketing plan.
.Ensure point of sale system is always updated and maintained with complete accuracy.
.Work with the stewarding team to ensure that all equipment needs are met, and all equipment is properly maintained.
.Overall recruiting, staffing and scheduling ensuring sufficient leadership support levels while maintaining forecasted productivities.
.Ensure a safe and healthy work environment for all guests and colleagues.
.Conduct all necessary communication meetings.
.Identify and analyzes competitors as required to stay abreast of market information.
.Support the hotel's public relations efforts to promote the hotel.
.Monitor compliance with all applicable laws and regulations.
.Monitor adherence to liquor control policies and procedures and promotes responsible service of alcohol.
.Monitor compliance with all food and beverage policies, standards and procedures, including food handling and sanitation standards.
.Solve guest and employee problems and complaints.
.Celebrate colleagues successes.
.Actively participate in the hiring process to identify the right talent to support the outlet's concept in line with Standard Hotel's recruiting guidelines.
.Provides guidance and direction to the team, including setting performance standards and monitoring performance.
.Actively work to improve employee retention.
.Manage staffing levels to meet guest service standards, operational needs, guest service, and financial objectives.
.Monitor and maintains the productivity level of employees.
.Solicit employee feedback and reviews employee satisfaction results to identify and address employee problems or concerns.
.Coach, guide and support team members to ensure their capabilities and degree of professionalism meet the needs of guests and the hotel.
.Manage performances of all team members.
.Develop and conduct staff training programs for team members in conjunction with learning and development team.
.Foster internal friendships in order to drive teamwork and achieve results.
OTHER RESPONSIBILITIES
.Ensure a service-oriented culture focusing on guests needs
.Be well versed in the hotel's fire and life safety emergency procedures
.Apply necessary precautions with regards to the hotel food safety and hygiene standards (HACCP)
.Build strong working relationships with other hotel departments
.Attend meetings with senior management to discuss future business strategies and review ongoing action plans and progress
.Maintain the highest standard of personal appearance and cleanliness
.Perform other duties assigned by the management
Knowledge and Experience
.Secondary / High school education
.2 years of relevant experience in a similar luxury hotel or restaurant capacity
.MICROS and other point of sales systems
.Impeccable reading, writing and oral proficiency in English and Thai language
