Job Description
- Lead the implementation and continuous improvement of BIM strategies, policies &standards, and workflows across bridge and infrastructure projects.
- Manage and coordinate the overall use of BIM for the project, ensuring compliance with organisational BIM policies and client requirements.
- Develop, maintain,and enhance BIM standards, templates, and methodologies.
- Development and implementation of BuildingInformation Management (BIM) systems
- Prepare and oversee BIM deliverables, including:
- BIM Execution Plans (BEP)
- Clash Detection Reports
- BIM Quality Control Plans
- Design Review Procedures
- 4D Construction Sequencing
- 5D Cost Estimating
- Ensure BIM Execution Plan are duly developed,maintain and adhere to for the team
- Strong hands-on skill on BIM applications
- Lead in BIM/VDC education & training programmes for the unit and the organisation
- Keep up to pace with industry technology movement and recommending improvements to the management
- Create the conditions and support for collaboration within the Department
Skills & Competencies We're Looking For
- Strong expertise in BIM management, coordination, and digital project delivery.
- Advanced proficiency in Autodesk Revit and Bentley MicroStation, Rhino and SketchUp
- Experience in software such as Fuzor, Lumion, and Adobe Creative Cloud.
- Experience developing BIM standards, workflows, and quality assurance processes.
- Ability to coordinate multidisciplinary BIM models and resolve design conflicts.
- Experience mentoring teams and delivering BIM training programmes.
- Ability to identify opportunities to improve digital delivery and implement practical solutions.
Industry Experience
- At least 5 years of engineering experience in construction, design, drafting or coordination (services)
- At least five years of experience in BIM coordination and / or BIM management and modelling experience in a design, engineering or construction firm for a large project(part-time)
- Experience in bridge/infrastructure would be an advantage.
Required competencies and certifications
- Degree or equivalent in Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering, Architecture, Building Services or Construction Management
- Approximately 8+ years of experience in engineering, design, construction, drafting, or project coordination, including significant experience leading BIM on complex projects.
- Formal BIM training or recognised BIM certification (e.g. Specialist Diploma, BCA Academy, or equivalent).
