We're hiring: Brand Director (Licensing/Owned Brand)

Location: Bangkok (Rama 3), Thailand (on-site)

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and execute brand strategy aligned with global licensing agreements and Thailand market dynamics to ensure sustainable growth and brand equity enhancement.
  • Lead annual business planning and define a clear 3-year growth roadmap covering product architecture, production capacity, distribution expansion, and profitability targets.
  • Serve as the primary strategic liaison between Thailand and brand principals to ensure alignment on brand positioning, product standards, and commercial objectives.
  • Conduct annual and seasonal business reviews with principals, presenting performance analysis, development roadmap, and strategic growth initiatives.
  • Ensure full compliance with licensing agreements, brand DNA, product specifications, quality standards, and brand communication guidelines.
  • Lead end-to-end seasonal product development planning in collaboration with affiliated manufacturing units, ensuring timely execution from concept to delivery.
  • Oversee assortment architecture, costing structure, and pricing strategy to balance brand positioning with margin optimization.
  • Manage production planning, capacity allocation, material sourcing, and quality control processes to ensure operational efficiency and brand consistency.
  • Coordinate selective import or signature product buying from principals (if required) to maintain brand authenticity and global alignment.
  • Own full brand-level P&L including revenue growth, gross margin optimization, production cost management, inventory control, and overall profitability.
  • Monitor financial KPIs including sell-through rate, markdown ratio, inventory turnover, working capital, and cost efficiency to ensure sustainable returns.
  • Lead disciplined OTB planning and inventory forecasting to minimize excess stock and production risk.
  • Strengthen and expand distribution across Department Stores, Modern Trade, Standalone Stores, and E-Commerce platforms to maximize market penetration.
  • Negotiate commercial terms with retail partners and identify expansion opportunities to enhance brand footprint.
  • Oversee integrated marketing strategy aligned with brand principal guidelines while adapting activation plans to local consumer insights.
  • Ensure consistent brand storytelling and customer experience across retail, digital, and communication touchpoints.
  • Drive cross-functional alignment between design, merchandising, production, retail operations, finance, and supply chain to ensure seamless seasonal execution.
  • Lead, mentor, and develop Brand Managers and cross-functional brand teams, fostering accountability, operational excellence, and commercial ownership.
  • Build succession planning and promote strategic thinking, agility, and disciplined execution within the organization.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Marketing, Business Administration, Fashion Business, or related field
  • Minimum 1012 years of experience in brand management, preferably within fashion, lifestyle, or consumer goods
  • Proven experience managing licensed brands with local production oversight
  • Strong understanding of licensing agreements, product compliance, and brand governance
  • Solid experience working with manufacturing units and production planning processes
  • Strong commercial acumen with hands-on P&L ownership
  • Experience managing department store and multi-channel retail environments
  • Strong negotiation and stakeholder management capability
  • Excellent communication skills in Thai and English
  • Strategic, analytical, operationally disciplined, and commercially driven
