Overview:
The Business Analyst (BA) acts as the vital bridge between business stakeholders and technical teams, ensuring that data-driven initiatives align with organizational goals. The BA is responsible for gathering, analyzing, and translating business needs into detailed functional specifications to support the development of data products, analytics solutions, and AI models.
Working in close collaboration with product managers, data engineers, data scientists, and visualization specialists, the BA ensures that requirements are clearly defined, technically feasible, and strategically aligned. This role operates within an Agile environment, supporting continuous improvement and the successful delivery of data-driven solutions.
Responsibilities:
- Partner with business stakeholders to elicit, analyze, and document business requirements for data and analytics initiatives.
- Translate business needs into clear functional and technical specifications for development teams.
- Collaborate with data engineers, data scientists, and visualization experts to ensure data solutions meet business objectives and are technically achievable.
- Support the design and development of data products, dashboards, and AI/ML models by providing business context and validation.
- Conduct impact analysis, gap assessment, and feasibility studies to support solution design and prioritization.
- Facilitate workshops, sprint planning, and backlog grooming sessions to ensure shared understanding and alignment among cross-functional teams.
- Perform user acceptance testing (UAT) and validate that deliverables meet stakeholder expectations and business requirements.
- Maintain detailed documentation of requirements, data definitions, process flows, and change logs.
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of Agile practices, business analysis standards, and data governance processes.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Information Systems, Data Analytics, or a related field.
- Proven experience as a Business Analyst in data analytics, BI, or AI-related projects.
- Strong understanding of data concepts, including data modeling, data pipelines, and analytics workflows.
- Experience working in Agile or Scrum environments with cross-functional teams.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and critical-thinking skills.
- Strong communication and stakeholder management abilities, with the capacity to translate complex technical concepts into business language.
- Familiarity with tools such as JIRA, Confluence, Power BI, Tableau, or data catalog platforms is an advantage.
- Detail-oriented, adaptable, and able to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
