What you'll do:


As a Business Compliance and Risk Control Manager based in Bangkok, you will be responsible for overseeing the design and preparation of critical monitoring reports that underpin operational risk management across global markets. Your day-to-day activities will involve conducting independent assessments of operational incidents, drafting comprehensive self-assessment documents, formulating internal control manuals, coordinating audits, assisting supervisors with new control measures, supporting trading teams with risk-related queries, collaborating across departments, staying abreast of market changes in Southeast Asia, and leveraging your technical skills to produce high-quality analytical reports. Success in this role requires a keen eye for detail, strong interpersonal abilities, responsiveness under pressure, and a genuine commitment to fostering a collaborative environment where compliance is seamlessly integrated into every aspect of business operations.

  • Design and prepare routine monitoring reports as well as compliance documentation for operational risks within global markets, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
  • Follow up on various operational incidents by conducting independent assessments and thorough analyses of each case to identify root causes and recommend improvements.
  • Write detailed internal self-assessment reports along with comprehensive gap analysis documents focused on internal control mechanisms and compliance processes.
  • Formulate clear internal control manuals or working guidelines while providing considered opinions on operating procedures for different business units.
  • Coordinate effectively with relevant parties during internal and external audit examinations, monitoring progress on implementing corrective actions as agreed upon by the organisation.
  • Assist supervisors in rolling out new internal control measures by helping to develop management guidelines or conducting sample checks to verify compliance.
  • Provide essential risk control support to front line trading teams, offering guidance on best practices and helping them navigate complex regulatory requirements.
  • Collaborate closely with colleagues across departments to ensure all compliance activities are aligned with organisational objectives and industry standards.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of local market dynamics in Singapore, Indonesia, Malaysia, and Thailand to inform risk assessments and compliance strategies.
  • Utilise advanced MS Office skills and data analysis tools to generate insightful reports that drive informed decision-making throughout the business.



What you bring:


To excel as a Business Compliance and Risk Control Manager, you will bring proven experience from roles involving strategy planning or economic research within financial services or similar industries. Your background should include hands-on exposure to data analysis techniques as well as familiarity with regional market dynamics across Southeast Asia. You will possess excellent communication skills-both written and verbal-in English plus one or more local languages relevant to the region.
